We were warmly welcomed by the hosts, who are such a sweet and thoughtful family. We immediately felt at home. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning, with beautiful lakes, deep forests, and peaceful rivers that invite you to explore, hike and relax. Nature lovers will be in heaven here. The cabin we stayed in was pure paradise. Exactly what we dreamed of for a perfect cabin getaway. It’s entirely crafted from wood, beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail, and equipped with all the amenities one could need. Every corner felt cozy and inviting. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I am already dreaming of coming back! And recommended to all my friends. - José

We stopped here on a drive from Oslo to Ulsteinvik on the coast. The location is perfect to break your journey and the town is charming. The rooms were fabulous — Scandinavian chique — and the kids loved the upper loft area where they slept. The hotel staff was fantastic and were super accommodating. We arrived late and called in advance asking if we could still eat in their award winning restaurant. While we couldn’t have the standard 5 course menu, they kept aside main course and dessert for us. The meal was the best we had in the trip and the service and hospitality was outstanding!

Beautiful location, close to the national park with lots of beautiful hiking trails. Loved the dogs. It was too hot for many activités but we got to feed them and pet them. Our host patiently answered our many questions. The apartments are very comfortable and well equipped with lots of space and the soundproofing worked well. You can cook in the kitchen, but there was also a cafe 3 minutes away with food and a mini supermarket.

As first-time visitors to this country, we felt incredibly lucky to have met Marianne and Lars, who not only made our stay unforgettable but also took the time to share the history of the hotel and the Norwegian way of life with us. In the morning, they prepared a delightful breakfast, and we sipped our coffee on the terrace, taking in the breathtaking view. Every flower in the house was vibrant and full of life, a reflection of the care and attention they put into every detail. Even though we were their only guests that night, they went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Marianne and Lars are truly exceptional hosts, dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming experience for their guests. We are so grateful to have had the chance to stay here and to have met such wonderful people. It felt like home—filled with comfort, kindness, and genuine hospitality. Thank you for everything. We hope to return one day and see you again!
