She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind—just a great person who made us feel right at home. The room was super clean, the bed was really comfortable, and the linens were high quality—you could tell she cares about the little things. The house is in an amazing spot overlooking the Marlborough Sounds, and the views were absolutely stunning. And the food—wow. Everything was homemade and fresh from her garden. It was so good we couldn’t stop eating! Debbie went above and beyond, and we’re grateful we got to stay at her place. Highly recommend- if we could give 11 stars, we would!

Our hosts were a fabulous help with local restaurants and wineries. We had steak on the grill one night...my husband learned a new trick: slipping an oyster inside a steak. Carpet bagger! 😆

It has everything you need for a short break away. It is so well thought out for groups of friends staying together. Even the sofa bed in the lounge has direct access to a bathroom without inconveniencing anybody. The apartment was spotless. The balcony out over the marina was a lovely place to drink wine and chill as the sun set. It is so well placed for any of the restaurants and cafés in Picton and great for early morning starts for cruises. We won’t stay anywhere else in Picton now. Great parking too.

It was such beautiful old lodge with awesome history to read about how it began as a humble home and to how it became what it is now.. The spa and hammocks were beautiful and the complimentary kayaks/paddle boards free to use were so much fun You can explore the bay or past the boyes to your hearts content. I was upgraded to a Endeavor Suite for free which was absolutely incredible after walking along the Queen Charlotte Trail. I really really loved my entire experience along the Queen Charlotte Trail with the food, the people and Great places to stay..
