The Wheelhouse Inn features five self-contained houses and apartments with spectacular sea views, from Nelson's Port Hills to the lovely Tasman Bay. A 5-minute drive from Tahunanui Beach, it offers free WiFi access, free on-site parking and barbecue facilities. This was one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in. The views from everywhere were just incredible. The facilities were brilliant and if I could live there I would!

This is an ideal base for whn you are walking the iconic Abel Tasman track. Everything about this hotel is excellent. The owner of this property is at the reception and is a super friendly and helpful lad. We had reserved 1 one-bedroom apartment and 2 studio units and the owner was kind enough to upgrade all of our rooms to one-bedroom units free of charge. Highly recommended place of stay in Nelson!

Guests can enjoy free unlimited WiFi and there is free on-site parking for cars. Nice stay for my one night. Everything was very nice. Large clean unit. Good location..walkable to everything in the center. Nicely managed by the owners on site. Highly recommend.

Walking distance to cafes, supermarkets, bars and beautiful parks. Stoke is also perfectly positioned half way between Nelson and Richmond for trips out and about while you're here. Super comfortable bed and a proper feather blanket for a great sleep. Kitchen had everything I needed and the set up with bench seat & stool made it easy to work from. Shower has excellent water pressure which is a real bonus. The host was friendly and helpful (especially when I accidentally locked my key in) and I'd recommend to anyone.
