It was in a beautiful place, near the river colca, facing the mountains, everything was cozy and nice, the food was really good (we ate lunch, dinner and breakfast), the staff super friendly and the boss lady (i think it was Gloria herself) even upgraded our room to a better one, facing the mountains and with a private bathroom without any additional cost! Overall it’s worth staying here.

At the lodge guests are welcome to take advantage of a hot spring bath. I have stayed in many austere locations, but this is probably the most simplest place I have paid to stay in. It is beautiful. It is so simple, but also was $12 U.S. for 1 night. If it wasn’t for the mosquitos, I wish I could have stayed for a few more days and just decompressed. The dinner had no options. It came and you either ate it or you didn’t (I’m sure they had a vegetarian option). I liked it though. I’m sorry that I don’t remember the gentleman’s name that helped out during the stay, but he was awesome. Thank you for making this adventure great!

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Lovely hotel in an incredible spot above the Colca Canyon. Walter was brilliant at looking after us in every respect including giving us a guided tour of all the animals on site which our girls loved.
