If you would like to discover the area, fishing is possible in the surroundings. This was one of the most interesting and rewarding places we have stayed because of the uniqueness of both the place and the owners, Juan and Amalia. Staying out on one the floating islands of Uros and learning about the history and traditions from a multigenerational member of the community was so inspiring. Amalia and Juan are both so helpful and kind and there three kids are a delight. It has been, by far, the highlight of this trip to Peru and Bolivia because of the special opportunity to connect and to slow the journey down and learn from a very smart and endearing man.

Situated in Puno, Titicaca Aruntawi Lodge Peru offers accommodation with views of the lake, and breakfast included every day. The property is 7 km from the city centre, and right in front of Titicaca lake. The Lodge was located very nicely and the view, especially for sunset, was incredible. Eddy and his family are super nice people, we booked all-inclusive and had the 2h Uros-Boat-Tour on the day of our departure, which was very interesting. In addition, they did a great job with the gluten-free meals (as my girlfriend is coeliac).

Inca Manco Cápac International Airport is 49 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Everything really exceeded our expectations at Uros Amaru Marka Lodge. Felix is a fantastic host. He picked us up when we were returning fro an overnight trip to Amantani Island so this saved us at least one hour as we did not have to go back all the way to Puno port. He picked us up at the beginning of the Uros channel by his boat. The room was super comfortable with superb beds and a great patio for relax. Felix took us on a 3-hour ride around few Uros islands, including the restaurant, museum and other points of interest. Very late check-out was not a problem. Really fantastic experience and host. Thank you Felix & your family (incl. a dog Falco - very friendly :-))

The location was ideal and very close to the center of the city. Lake Titicaca was only a 20 minute walk from the hotel.

We felt so welcomed and really enjoyed conversations with the family, even through our broken Spanish. Mariluz is a wonderful cook and made sure we were well taken care of. Such a lovely and calm two nights on Amantani, and a highlight of our month in Peru.

We enjoyed so much the stay in this uros and everything is big and well decorated, the bathroom, bedroom, front yard, outdoor bed..like a 5 stars luxury hotel with the scenic lake and its surroundings. I love the canoeing in the lake Titicaca. Appreciated the staff prepared the hot water bottle for our sleep at the cold and raining night. Certainly we like the 3 meals, wifi, and the power charger also.

Everything was very clean, a lovely hot shower and plenty of blankets for the cold nights. The dinner and breakfast was nice and the family here are so welcoming and friendly.
