Antonio was a warm, welcoming host who took the time to welcome me and show me everything about the property as well as provide personalised recommendations. As a solo female traveller, he made me feel extremely comfortable. Plus the view from the room was stunning and the entire place was very clean.

It was our second time staying at this hotel and, once again, we absolutely loved it. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is impeccable, probably the best we have ever had. The whole surrounding of the old ceramic factory gives the hotel a unique ambiance and there are plenty activities to be done there. Will definitely come back!

Family house with guest rooms. Very kind hosts. A restaurant belongs to the house, the breakfast in the morning is there. We can recommend also having dinner there. Fantastic food and great personnel. Very kind. Very welcoming. The house is right at the beach, and there are not many tourists there. We only stayed one night but could have stayed longer.

Everything was perfect except for the one little detail where they advertise they have parking. They don't. What there is, is available meter parking around the hotel. From 9pm to 9am, the street parking is free. I did have to plug the meter every four hours but it didn't kill me. The breakfast was excellent.

The location was brilliant, in the centre of São João da Madeira, and right on the Caminho Santiago. The housekeeper was there when I arrived and made entry super easy, and she explained everything clearly. She was brilliant. The room was exceptional. There are kitchen facilities and a rooftop terrace. I would highly recommend this place.
