The hosts have also been generous on borrowing their bikes to go around the island a couple times. The place is perfect for a simple countryside getaway in two. It’s located within walking distance various sites, restaurants, supermarket, boat station etc. It is very clean, with all the necessary amenities. The shower facility nearby is modern, Clean and easy to access. The island itself is a typical island in the Swedish archipelago, with various pine trees, berry bushes, moss, lichens, deers, lizards, marine birds etc. and the Islanders being good stewards for this.

Outstanding location: walk to/from ferry, across the street from a grocery store, near bike rental, very close to restaurants. Walk to everything. Apartment is extremely well equipped with modern decor. Elin has thought of every detail. Washer and dryer are a bonus! Apartments were extremely clean!!! We cooked a couple of meals and kitchen was well equipped. Beds were super comfy. We rented two of the apartments for our group of 5. Absolutely perfect in every way!

And from Varmdö Maknad are the bus connections really good to Slussen to explore Stockholm. It was not the last Time in Sweden 😀! Don‘t forget to use the parking Disk and if necessary please registrate at the eparking System. Mostly without costs if you‘re registrate you 😉. Otherwise you will get a parking ticket. We had a wonderful stay at Sofia’s house in Stavsnäs. The house was spotless, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The silence and peace in the middle of the forest are truly surreal — we slept incredibly well, and the beds were very comfortable. Sofia is always available to solve any problem, and if contacted, she responds promptly. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more. A beautiful and authentic Swedish stuga.
