The receptionist Eva was really great, she gave us a whole list of restaurants to go to and also other recommendations on what we should see in Ljubljana. The room was very nice too, it was wonderful to stay in such a historic building :)

Short walk up to the castle, lots of great restaurants/cafes/bakeries/shopping nearby, and a farmer's market in the square. Our room was a corner unit and looked out onto the river. Clean apartment, comfortable bed, and a nice large bathroom area. Check-in/out was easy as the front desk is staffed throughout the day/night. Music from restaurant below the apartment can be heard with windows open but we enjoyed it. Very little noise when windows closed. The area is touristy but not overly busy, very peaceful/safe city (and country) overall.

The breakfast was varied and well prepared. The location is not central, but there is a bus stop just in front of the hotel.
