The hotel is SUPER! The best hotel during my entire trip to Sri Lanka (I was in more than 15 hotels in 24 days). Very cozy atmosphere. There are only 6 bungalows in hotels, it's not overcrowded. Delicious food, better than in the most cafes on the island. Very comfortable and friendly hosts! The pool is great! Everything is thought out - deck chairs, a place for sunbathing right in the water. The pool is surrounded of palm trees! It's about 50-100 meters to the sea. The only negative thing for lovers of flat water is big waves on the coast. Therefore, I spent 3 days next to the pool and absolutely happy about this! ))) But also it has a very beautiful sunrise! You should check in my photos

We had a great time in Spice Trail! Excellent location and very helpful staff. Himasha LEO showed us some nice places in the area and told us a lot about Arugam Bay & Sri Lanka. If you are going to Arugam Bay, you can't skip this place! The swimming pool is perfect.

The most amazing stay highly recommended!* ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed at *Doppel Gangs* in Arugam Bay and had the most unforgettable experience. The hotel is in the *perfect location* close enough to the main road (just a 1-minute walk!) to access everything easily, but tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet without the crowds and noise. The hotel is *by far the cleanest* I’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka, with daily housekeeping that keeps everything fresh. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. There’s also a *really nice pool*, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. But what truly made this stay exceptional was the *incredible staff*, especially *Hibed*. We were a group of 8 girls and one boy, and from the moment we arrived, Hibed went *above and beyond* to make us feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. His kindness, thoughtfulness, and attentiveness were beyond anything we expected. He was always there to help whether it was organizing *tuk tuk rides* at *any time, to any place, with any notice*, fixing a ripped pair of pants with a local seamstress, or surprising us with freshly made yogurt. Every little thing he did added to the magic of our stay. I’ve stayed at many hotels around the world, but I’ve *never* encountered a staff that had such a genuine impact on my overall experience. *Thank you, Doppel Gangs, for an incredible stay. We’ll never forget it.* Can't wait to come back!

We stayed at Villa del Mar for a week and absolutely loved everything about it. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The food was delicious, fresh, and prepared with care. But most of all – the staff made our stay unforgettable. Their warmth, genuine kindness, and constant willingness to help with anything made us feel truly welcome. From organizing trips to recommending local gems, everything was handled perfectly. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, yet close to everything. We felt at home here – and we are definitely coming back. Highly recommended!

I loved everything about the hotel. Its beachfront location, its spacious, modern, and well-equipped rooms, its beautiful garden with a pool... It has a restaurant unlike any I've seen in Sri Lanka. Spacious, modern, beautifully decorated, and with excellent cuisine. The breakfast was very complete. Congratulations to the chef. The staff was especially helpful, particularly the assistant manager, who assisted me whenever I needed it. I will definitely return for a longer stay soon.

The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood but only a few walking minutes away from the main road with all the restaurants, bars and shops. The place recently opened and everything is brand new. If you have the WiFi signal, the internet is very good. The manager is super friendly and supportive. I highly recommend trying the traditional Sri Lanka breakfast in the hotel, so delicious! The rooms are very big and modern designed. The mattresses are good and comfortable.

The highlight of our trip was definitely the stunning swimming pools, where we spent hours soaking up the sun and enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. I had a wonderful stay with my husband, and I would like to give a special thanks to all the friendly hotel staff. The breakfast was delicious with an option for Sri Lankan or English breakfast . The location is great, it’s located near the shops, restaurants and beach. The swimming pool is very big, and really refreshing & relaxing! I would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely come back here when we go to Arugam Bay again.

We had a great time in Spice Trail! Excellent location and very helpful staff. Himasha LEO showed us some nice places in the area and told us a lot about Arugam Bay & Sri Lanka. If you are going to Arugam Bay, you can't skip this place! The swimming pool is perfect.
