They pick you up and drop you off at the airport so you don’t need to worry about it. I even got a necklace as a gift at the checkout which was such a pleasant surprise!

Rooms at Hotel Hare Uta were inspired by the homes of the first inhabitants of the island. They are decorated with parquet floors and stylish furnishings, and all feature a private bathroom. We had an amazing stay at Hare Uta! Our room was large and very comfortable, with a huge shared common area. The hotel grounds were beautiful with lovely gardens with flowering trees and plants. We had originally booked bed/breakfast, but the hotel offered half-board for a reasonable price. The best part was that this package included all all the excursions plus dinners (lovely restaurant with good food and wine). The best part of our stay was the excursions. Our guide, Nuku, was absolutely fantastic. He was a local Rapa Nui whose family has been on the islands for generations. His grandfather was one of the young men who worked to restore the Moai's to standing position, and his mother was a 2-term governor of the island! He was a fountain of knowledge of history and legend, and seeing the island through his eyes was a privilege and a pleasure. On top of everything, he was an amazing photographer and a really fun guy! We only had a short time on the island (2 days), but we were able to see and experience everything with 1 full day tour, 2 half-day tours and a bonus sunrise tour of Tongariki (amazing - not to be missed!). Really, a once-in-lifetime experience all made possible by Hare Uta and Niku.
