From the moment we were picked up at the airport to the moment we left, the staff made us feel very welcome and did everything they could to make sure we had an amazing stay. They organized tours for us and the restaurant chefs even made sure there were special vegetarian meals available for us each day (in addition to the regular menu!). The bures are very comfortable and you are very close to the beach. Nice snorkelling if you go far enough - and you can even spot reef sharks at sunset if you’re lucky!

Walking in to Lomani was truly a "WOW" moment and you instantly fall in love. Lomani has the most incredible view up on the hill of the Somosomo Straight right from it's own pool, it honestly doesn't feel real! We cooked our own breakfast in the large kitchen, loved roaming the grounds to find fruits (like pineapples) and tropical flowers. The wifi and Netflix are awesome additions too, but we just found ourselves enjoying switching off and gazing into the stunning sunsets and showered under the stars. Knox was so helpful and picked us up from the ferry, drove us to the shops for supplies, and lots of activities, including the beautiful Bouma falls and we also snorkelled the insanely colourful rainbow reef (amazing dive shop just down the road!). Our experience was enriched greatly by Knox and we enjoyed our time getting to know him. Saskia is also a fabulous host who communicated everything we needed to know before our stay. Glass bottom kayaks and snorkel gear are also available but sadly we ran out of time to use them. There are so many activities to chose from, or equally opportunities to just relax, recharge, and connect with nature and each other. Knox even worked tirelessly all day to cook us a traditional Lovo on our final night at Lomani, which was so delicious and very memorable. It rained quite heavily during our time but it didn't dampen our experience at all. Lomani is a quaint cottage that feels cosy and spacious like home (but with ten times more incredible views). There is something deeply special about Lomani and we hope to return one day but stay longer than three nights. Taveuni is a tranquil, quiet, lush garden island teaming with wildlife, fruit, flowers and creatures (like frogs and geckos), along with such kind hearted people. Unlike anywhere we have ever been before. We are from a busy city and loved how Taveuni is the opposite.

The luxurious Taveuni Island Resort & Spa is set on 10 acres of tropical gardens, a 2-minute drive from Matei Airport on Taveuni Island. Storm, Raymond, Milli, Eric and all of the other staff were brilliant from start to finish. The setting of the resort was stunning with great views and an immaculate garden. The food was consistently good/varied and the Fiji night buffet/performance from the local kids was a great idea. The activities offered were all worthwhile and mostly value for money. Our room was a great size and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend!

Paradise Taveuni is located on the island of Taveuni. Please book domestic flights to the island through www.fijiairways.com. Take a taxi from the Taveuni airport to the Resort (approx 60 mins). The snorkelling out the back of the hotel was lovely. There was a large staff to customer ratio which meant there was always someone to help you. Lots of lovely plants at the hotel and the rooms were nice. Free water refills is always appreciated.

The restaurant always changed the menu and everything has been really good and tasty. The villa and the garden were very well maintained. The boat personnel has been very friendly, very safe, and very skilled.
