Overlooking Kagoshima Bay, Hakusuikan boasts an outdoor pool and a variety of spacious indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths, including a Sunamushi sand hot-spring. This hotel was a very nice surprise. Our room was exceptional - a very spacious, luxurious room with four different areas. The entry way to our room as well as the furnishings in the room were beautiful. It was a great place to relax. The view from our windows was magnificent! Our dinner was very delicious and filling. The breakfast was also very good. The hot sand bath - sunamushi sakaba - was a new, great experience for us. The onsen area is very large and clean, a nice place to soak after a long day. If you go, enjoy the bar located by the onsen - it's free to hotel guests and the bartender was very kind.

The service deserves special mention! Attentive without being intrusive, sincere, and consistently excellent throughout our stay. Dining was outstanding, with beautifully prepared meals that showcased both quality ingredients and creativity. After full days exploring Yakushima, returning to Sankara felt like coming back to a sanctuary - calm, comfortable, and deeply relaxing. I regret not noting the sommelier’s name, but would love to give a special shout-out for his attentiveness and excellent pairings (alcohol and non-alcohol), thoughtfully tailored for both me and my son. This was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Highly recommended in every aspect, and we would not hesitate to return.

The Pulse Kirishima- Opening in 16th Aug 2025 biedt 3-sterrenaccommodatie bevindt zich in Kirishima, op 6,7 km van Ebino-plateau en 10 km van Kirishima Jingu Shrine. Beautiful hotel, tastefully decorated, large rooms, large and comfortable beds, very clean, excellent breakfast with a large selection, lovely staff. The hotel is at a 5-star level, highly recommended.
