The space is huge, a large private plot with a bathroom, a toilette, an outdoor dishwashing area and a BBQ area. Everything was crystal clear, spacious, cozy, therevwasbhot water every time. We could buy delicious meat from the owners and grilled it on the fire - it was great :) The son of the owner was super kind and helpful. I fully recommend this campsite, especially for those on a roadtrip with a tented car. This clean and peaceful location was such a relief after the other crowded campsites.

Each bungalow at the Huab Lodge features a private veranda overlooking the area and hills. They all have a private bathroom with twin basins and views from the shower. All of them have thatched roofs and typical African decoration. Huab lodge is one of those places that will stay in your memory for a long time. The drive to it is a bit off the beaten track, through gates and over a few small dry river beds. But once there, gosh! Peace. Except for the birds, the insects, Deon and Lidia's welcome, this is the life! Then the rooms. Glorious. No frilly gold plated stuff. Don't expect bling. Just comfort. Great views, spacious, great bathrooms. This is an ecolodge so no hairdriers or aircon. But they are not needed. Relax. Great food, proper hospitality, the night sky... worth it for nightjars and stars alone. And then the desert elephant safaris... just go there.
