Everything was perfect! Room was spacious and great, baby cot provided. Warm enough Beautiful views Food was really nice: first course was a buffet with a lot of choice of vegetables, soup, 2 types of warm dishes and 3 "starters/salads" ; for main course you could choose out of 3 dishes (2 meat and 1 fish) and there are 3 options for dessert. Breakfast was also great. Only minus point: no vegetables for breakfast. A great benefit is the bar at the hotel. It gave me possibility to get (warm) drinks during the day. Staff is soooo kind. We were with our baby and they were entertaining him and also always came to talk during our meals . Felt homey. I will for sure come back again

We liked the location, the treatment of the staff in evrey request ( especially grasiella). The resturant was great, the gym was good and a lot of space around the hotel. My son liked to sit in the bar . The brd was giant and the room was nice and wide. There was safety deposite and littel porch.

It’s really good location to go to the slopes, ski lift it’s right beside it. And there is a shop you can rent all the equipments for ski. I just got surprised when we had to pay for the sauna, it’s the hotel rules, but it was the first hotel in life that I had to pay to use the facilities.

I was there for the World MTB championships and the...

I was there for the World MTB championships and the organisation for getting to and from the bike park was excellent. There were plenty of buses available to the gondola to access the bike park. I also had a days hiking where I found the route very well sign posted with paths and bridges well kept.

Ordino is a picture postcard village, with a number of...

Ordino is a picture postcard village, with a number of smaller villages and hamlets dotted all the way up the valley towards the Arcalis ski area. Each village/hamlet has its own local bar(s) and restaurant(s). Ordino being larger has a few more. The town of La Massana is 2 km from Ordino and is well provided for shopping and nightlife options. The skiing and snowboarding at Arcalis is excellent. Being north-facing and above 8000 feet the season generally lasts longer than the other Andorran areas. Facilities are first class. Runs cater from complete beginner to freeride expert and much in between. It's a great wee ski area in a beautiful part of the world. Summertime offers myriad hillwalking and trekking routes.

I was there for a hybrid of work and skiing.

I was there for a hybrid of work and skiing. The ski resort is not very big but had decent long runs, and it was super easy to get from the gondola in the middle of the town. Went hiking around, there are some easily marked trails. I also liked the comics museum.

Family ski trip with a 8 and 6 year old.

Family ski trip with a 8 and 6 year old. The resort is very good for beginners and intermediates. Everyone working here in all areas seemed friendly. We all had ski school which was all at the same time and oddly morning four hours lessons were split to 09:00-12:00 and 15:00-16:00. This meant a lot of time was wasted dropping off kids and getting to lessons/waiting for people to arrive as it was twice per day. And we couldn't really go do anything else if we wanted to attend the afternoon hour lesson. Our instructors were all very good during the lessons though. We also paid for lockers at the top of the gondola but they didn't open till 15 minutes before lessons started 5 minutes away, resulting in a mad rush of lots of people trying to get ski boots on in a small space all at the same time. The resort was not that busy when we were there, but the bars/restaurants on the slopes filled very quickly and it was often a wait to get a table for lunch. Facilities were all pretty good otherwise.

We stayed in La Massana for the mountain bike championships...

We stayed in La Massana for the mountain bike championships for ease of access to the cable cars and event. There were plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops. I would recommend Grupetta cafe and Babek restaurant. The views all around are stunning!!

Great resort for skiing at a beginner/intermediate level.

Great resort for skiing at a beginner/intermediate level. Beginners will blossom with fantastic ski schools. Intermediates can ski in Arinsal and take the gondola across to Pal on the other side of the mountain so more choice of skiing. Great bars and food in the restaurants is excellent. And super value for money compared to Other ski resorts. Highly recommend.

La Massana is a nice base for exploring Andorra if you want...

La Massana is a nice base for exploring Andorra if you want to be outside of ALV (whch is only a 15 minute drive). It's got a good selection of restaurants and shops, and it's easy to get around to see the rest of the country from there. We were there in the fall, before ski season started, so enjoyed lots of color and little traffic.
