This was my second time visiting Punta Cana.
This was my second time visiting Punta Cana. Still undergoing a lot of building and construction, but it is a growing county. We stayed in Uvero Alto at the beginning of September. We did see plenty of seaweed but they do try to remove it daily. But for my liking the ocean is nice to see but due to the darker water and seaweed I didn't get in the water. Macoa beach was not impressive and they have many vendors that are extremely overpriced. Other than that you can walk along the beach, but plan to take your own food for the day or spend $25 per lb of fish or $30 per lb for lobster. Saona Island was beautiful, you see the blue Caribbean waters and white sand. This time we saw clear waters, but the first time there was a lot of seaweed.Guest review byHernandezUnited States - 8.0
Nice getaway, great for a long weekend.
Nice getaway, great for a long weekend. Good for girls trip with lots of nightlife and great restaurants,. What is great is that you have the convenience of using the dollar and US stores like Walgreens. So it is super convenient and easy to navigate.Guest review byJulieUnited States - 10.0

The colonial Zone of Santo Domingo is stunning, with a lot of Museums, A beautiful Cathedral, a very active nightlife, cafes, restaurants a so much. Perfect for walking and relaxing, very Bohemian vibe. Recomendations: Mosquito bar, La casa del ron with a stunning view of the Cathedral and Sabina with a very bohemian style. If you want a more modern vibe then stay in the Piantini district, With a lot of modern bars, restaurants like Sarah and a lot roof top around the city. and a very cosmopolitan vibe, however, be aware that the traffic is chaotic and stressful during peak hours. If you visit Santo Domingo please go to the beach, Close by Bocha Chica, A little bit far away but worth it is La Romana and Punta Cana.Guest review byAnyerNetherlands - 10.0
Willemstad is very nice and colorful city.
Willemstad is very nice and colorful city. I loved floating market. Curious thing happened to me when I was parking a car I rented. I did not have coins and parking watches do not accept credit cards. An old man is siting on the parking and he is eating his sandwich. He calls me and gives me a coin to pay parking. I tried to give him dollars in notes, but he refused. He probably gave me his last coin. That is just to see how are the people of Curacao.Guest review byVladimirBosnia and Herzegovina - 10.0

The entertainment staff made you feel welcomed. The dining was excellent. Great food and service. We were impressed. Thanks to the staff in the Rose Hall Dining area especially Darren and Trudy Ann. Rooms were kept clean and tidy. We enjoyed the karaoke too.Guest review byJessicaUnited States - 4.0
Food was not good.
Food was not good. Service at the Buffet could have been much better. Rooms need attention. Lights need to be brighter, fans need controls, our door lock needed repair to lock. No water pressure in sink. The resort was attractive & kept clean.Guest review byElenaUnited States - 8.0

Our only complaint about the beach is no refreshment facilities....need to take drinks with you or walk a way down to get a restaurant. The TRYP beach umberlelas and loungers were good. Water sports close by . Beach clean and water beautifulGuest review byWendySpain - 10.0
It's a quaint little town.
It's a quaint little town. All the restaurants are Italian or pizzerias. They were fair to good. The stores are interesting. It is a small village. We enjoyed exploring it, but there's not a huge amount there besides the souvenir shops, a few clothing stores, a few bars, a few coffee shops, and a few restaurants.Guest review byMitchellUnited States - 10.0
Amazing!so many places to go and things to do.
Amazing!so many places to go and things to do. The local people were kind and friendly. There was no incident of violence or aggression throughout our stay. So many restaurants, well kept beaches and rivers. The streets were always clean. Traffic reasonable.Guest review byAnonymous - 4.0
Sad, overpriced and not very nice.
Sad, overpriced and not very nice. A lot of rubbish everywhere. No local culture. Beaches were poor. Theres a view of a large powerstation from the beach. No good food available apart from ridiculously overpriced top-end restaurants. Very shabby and disappointing overall. A poor end to a disappointing trip to the Dominican Republic which these days feels like a rerirement haven for expats. We left feeling deflated.Guest review byJonathanColombia
