This is an overall 'brilliant hotel-chalet' situated in a very beautiful valley of the Vorarlberg State. We have been visiting a lot of family hotels, but this 'Berghaus Schröcken' is simply the best we have ever stayed in. Especially the people working there are so different to other hotels or resorts: they have a smile on their face and you can see that they love doing their job... It's definitely a great place to stay for a family wanting to spend some days in the Austrian Alps, doing some biking, discovering the great nature of the Bregenzerwald...

The hotel was outstanding in every respect - the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the facilities were perfect for us. It also helped that the snow was incredible and it couldn’t have been easier to get onto the slopes, a daily ski to Lech, Zurs, and even across to St Anton. The packed lunch on our departure day (early start) was also very thoughtful!

I booked this stay for my wife and daughter while I took my youngest to Europa Park. It was a bit of a gamble because neither had stayed in a spa hotel like this before, so I was a bit worried that they might feel intimidated and not feel able to engage with it to get the full benefit. The welcoming staff are a I think big part of the reason that was a non-issue. The reports back from my wife and daughter were that it could not have been better - the environment, the staff, the food, the room, and facilities including the additional wellness services they purchased - everything was beyond expectation and I thank the staff and the venue for an experience they will remember for a long time!

If you stay 3 nights or more you are given the Mellau card which gives you free access to the cable cars in the area (among other perks that we did not use). Lots of hiking trails. Beautiful scenery.

I visited Warth 76 with children in December 2023.

I visited Warth 76 with children in December 2023. We rented apartment No. 2 on the ground floor. Both bedrooms were spacious, tastefully decorated and had en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and directly connected to the living room with a large window from which I could watch the children playing in the snow. The house has an underground garage, so I eliminated the morning cleaning of the windshield. There is a sauna available for guests. From the house, I could easily walk to the information office, the ATM, or Spar for shopping. If one doesn't feel like cooking in the evening, one can try the restaurants within walking distance, offering local and international cuisine. I drove to the nearest lift (Steffisalp) within 5 minutes, where I rented skis for the kids and enrolled them in a local ski course. Beginners and experienced skiers alike can choose between the slopes. A further 10 minute drive (or local Skibus) takes you to cross-country (Salober), classic and skate skiing or you can take the cable car from here to the next ski resort, Lech. Warth 76 is the choice for anyone who likes to stay nice and comfortable on holiday, while having all the luxuries of an alpine resort within easy reach. They also have snow :o)

Lovely valley in Alps with breathtaking views and nicely located close to many popular trip destinations like Swiss, Germany or northern Italy, but also providing a plenty of attractions close-by (trails, mountain lifts, forests playgrounds and activity centers etc..)

Schwarzenberg is located very central in the Bregenzerwald,...

Schwarzenberg is located very central in the Bregenzerwald, with plenty of public transport connections. Within ten minutes Bezau can be reached, with the opportunity to use the dayspa in Hotel Post. From Schwarzenberg many hikes can be initiated. The public busses can also carry skiing equipment, so no need to drive with your own car. In case one misses the atmosphere of a city, Dornbirn is easily reached by private as well as public transport.

The holiday was great we had plenty of snow and blue skies, with a dump of snow on the last day.Apres ski was bouncing on the slopes. The hotel staff were awesome and the food was cooked to perfection. The spa was really quiet during the day which gave a relaxing end to a perfect day...where we stayed there wasnt much night life which was exactly what we wanted and you make your own entertainment. We will definitely go back.

A small picturesque village mainly locals around. Interesting slopes for advanced skiers. I wouldn’t recommend it for beginners. Just the right place if you are looking for serenity. Don’t expect any after skiing party and don’t expect many choices for eating out. There are buses running from hotels to the slopes every 15minutes and is great!

Warth is at the edge of the huge ski-area from Warth, via Lech, Zürs, Stuben and finaly Sankt Anton (all connected). A ski trip from Warth to St. Anton and back (via Zug) will take a day (42km) but is beautifull. Warth is very quiet but there are après ski opportunities (at Steffisalp). Warth is less expensive as Lech and not so crowded on the slopes.

Beautiful village with plenty of ancient wooden houses. Swimmingpool and a skilift within walking distance, and, top of the pop, historical railroad!! You will simply love it! Perfect destination for families with kids!

Damüls is a lovely ski resort in Austria, although it did get extremely over-populated at the weekend. We had thankfully planned for this and took the day off snowboarding on the Saturday and went for a hike instead. Next time, we will just come for the week days! The weather was very warm, which encouraged day trippers to come, so I think that contributed.

I liked the hotel which was super convenient for skiing with a lift less than five minutes away which you could ski back to at the end of the day, also a reliable ski bus to get to other lifts. Not a problem for me but the village seemed very quiet - few shops and most of the restaurants and bars in hotels
