we did not know it was a "Singles" hotel but it was fine for my mother and us. People were friendly and staff was lovely and accommodating. Beds were comfortable and views were breathtaking. The forest and field/trail walks were lovely and hiking and swimming were our major pass times as well as visiting with friends. The indoor swimming pool was lovely and the outdoor pond a great plunging pond in September after a hot tub visit. Dinners were exceptional and breakfast is "healthy" with many choices. There is always a vegan/vegetarian option available.

The spa resort is very well maintained and very clean. The sauna world is an amazing place, and the classes are a great experience. The staff are friendly and speak many languages, including English. If the staff did not speak English, they kindly asked people around to help translate. We learnt a little of the German language, and they did not judge us for trying. I'd advise learning the German language before travelling it helps. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were modern.

Beautiful hotel overlooking the lake. Our room had stunning views and a spacious terrace. The outdoor pool and spa area is fantastic. There is a good variety of food on offer at breakfast and we ate in the restaurant twice during our stay and the food was superb. What sets this hotel apart is the staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient.

Beautiful place. It's situated in quiet place right on the shore of the Wolfgangsee. We liked to walk to and from St. Wolfgang on the foothpath by the lake. Our Junior Suite had nice terrace and view to the lake. Bed was very comfortable. We also liked the way the how the breakfast was served.

Location was excellent and room was spacious with lovely balcony and lake view. Restaurant was very excellent and food good too with a varied buffet for breakfast. Staff were pleasant and even though you cannot park at the hotel the car taxi from car park to hotel was very efficient.

We came to Austria for skiing and had a great experience in de Leopoldhof hotel. Beautiful spa, very comfortable apartment, nice staff and great service. Hotel is located in beautiful nature next to the lake. I could imagine it’s also very nice during summer.

This resort is just 1 stop away from Hallstatt station...u can reach Hallstatt in just 15mins.....very convenient. The train station (Obertraun) is just opposite the resort itself. Peaceful area not busy like Hallstatt. Simply love the atmosphere here.

Linz is an industrial and admin centre on the (definitely...

Linz is an industrial and admin centre on the (definitely not blue) Danube river . Small airport with (as at July 2025) 2 flights a week from London STN. Pedestrianised town centre with a mix of old and new architecture gives no clue that the pleasant clean town has an active steel works. No special tourist draw but a reasonable base for touring and onward travel, Large Danube cruise ships stop at Linz but most passengers are sent to Salzburg by coach and make minimal contribution to the Linz economy.

We are glad that we can stay in Hallstatt for 2 nights to explore the charms of the town. We arrived on Christmas Eve and it was so busy with tourists. We have to wait for an hour to get lunch at restaurant as it was fully booked. But the restaurant service is quick and food is satisfying.

Obertraun is a very small town opposite Hallstatt lake. Peaceful quiet place for us to explore by walking around . We found fresh beers & good food in pizza restaurant, hotel resort for dinner, and a bakery shop for a quick breakfast. And bus ride conveniently brought us to Hallstatt.

I was uncertain how to find my hotel and a woman who was on...

I was uncertain how to find my hotel and a woman who was on my bus went out of her way to help me. On another occasion, I couldn't find a restaurant and a resident took the time to show me. I ended up not eating there, but at Eden, where she had asked for directions. The pizza there was one of the best I have ever had (and I've had a lot). A boat ride on Wolfgangsee is a must, as is taking the cog railway to the top of the mountain and admiring the scenery. Also, spend time walking or sitting by the lake, very calming. And be sure to drop by the Blue Lake Sports Outlet for amazing bargains and a very lovely shopkeeper.

Mesmerizing views all around and one can spend quality time over here. Very well connected with public transport and can move easily to any tourist attractions. Surrounded by natural beauty, away from tourist crowd and very scenic.

Nice old town that has nice stores and good restaurants to go. I liked the Christmas decoration in the town center. Bad Ischl is a good place to stay and drive around to some other towns like Bad Ischl, St. Wolfgang, St. Gilgen, Dachstein and Badausee

This is merely a city for business trips or when you want to visit special events. The city and shopping opportunities are rather limited. We spent a few hours here, travelling through, but we didn't feel that we missed anything when quickly checking out the city.

Mondsee is a very pleasant area - very pleasant lakeside gardens and facilities. We were particularly impressed by the Post Shuttle Bus facility which was great for visitors without their own car facilities. The service provided by the Tourist Information Office was also first class.
