I loved how thought was put into the smallest details: from the key cards to decoration - wonderful. Everywhere there was something to explore. The property was very modern, a boutique hotel, while the original touch and feel of the building was still preserved.

We recently stayed at Burkblick and had a wonderful experience. The location of the hotel is truly stunning, with breathtaking views of the nearby mountains, village, and castle. The breakfast options were also top-notch, with a great selection of fresh and tasty foods, including plenty of fresh fruit. The hotel room was very modern, yet still in keeping with the local style, and we appreciated how clean and comfortable everything was. The bed was especially cozy and made for a great night's sleep. Finally, we have to say that the staff at the hotel were truly exceptional. They were very welcoming and friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the area.

The breakfast was plentiful, satisfying all needs, the dinner selection was excellent and very tasty. The hotel is centrally located, within walking distance of the main ski lift. The hotel also provides ski storage in a comfortable, heated storage room. The hotel staff is kind, attentive and very polite.

The staff is very friendly and always helpful. When we checked in, they upgraded us to a larger room with a great view of the mountains and close to the elevator. This hotel has a very chic location. From the room's terrace, you could see the mountains and the sky. There are many different hiking trails nearby. There weren't many people during the weekdays, and we just wanted to get away from people and the city and breathe in the fresh forest air. Also, there aren't many restaurants in the town overall, but the hotel provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which was very convenient for me personally. In the afternoon, you could use the sauna, from which you could go out onto the terrace with a view of the mountains. If we want to escape the city again, we will definitely come back.

The food was superior. This is haute-cuisine. It's definitely worth the price but probably too fancy for my children who are more than happy with wiener schnitzel and frites. The buffet is phenomenal and the attention from wait staff was incredible. Every evening mealtime was an event and I enjoyed every mouthful. My children loved the pool and the play room. Thank goodness, too, for the TV which meant my children could happily watch Paw Patrol (German dubbed).

The location of MeiZeit Lodge is fantastic. From the lounge/dining room you could watch people and children skiing from the Bograin teller lift station and you could watch hot air balloons rising daily on a morning from the village whilst eating your breakfast. The breakfast was self service and there was always an excellent selection of food to eat both hot and cold. The hotel also served free cakes/pastries and light snacks between 3pm and 5pm which was a real bonus. Every member of staff was lovely, always having time to have a conversation with us about what we had been doing or going to do that day. By staying here you also benefited from the issue of a Filzmoos winter card upon arrival which gave you free access to some activities and discounts on others. The hotel was immaculate and spotlessly clean and we will definitely return.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this mountain hotel! Located in a stunning natural setting, the place offers a spectacular view of the alpine landscape – the kind of scenery that takes your breath away every morning. The room was a true oasis of relaxation. The fireplace adds a warm, cozy atmosphere, perfect for chilly evenings, and the in-room bathtub is pure indulgence – ideal after a day spent outdoors. The services were impeccable from start to finish. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and always ready to help without being intrusive. I truly felt welcomed and well taken care of. The whole experience was great. The hotel has a nice, cosy atmosphere all around, the food was good, varying every day and the staff were really helpful. The location is excellent, especially for beginners as one of the skiing schools is just across the street. We were there during a lower peak period so it was not crowded at all which was great. Definitely considering staying here again in the future.

We spent three nights at Sporthotel and had an amazing stay. Our room was very nice, clean, and well-equipped. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options including pasta, excellent wine, fish, meat, sushi, and more. Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared. The adult wellness zone was fantastic, and the pool was truly unforgettable.

Bad Gastein is amazing alpine village.

Bad Gastein is amazing alpine village. The views of Tauer mountain ridge are amazing. There are many options how you can spend your free time - spa, skiing or hiking. I also really love local craftsmen shop and products. I would recommend also stop in Salzburg during journey to Bad Gastein if its on your way.

A village in beautiful scenery that lacks something. Accessibility of services (hiking, lifts, restaurants) was a bit confusing. Many services did not have clear English instructions/price lists/online shops. The Tyrolean region summer card seemed to give you a much wider range of services than the Salzburger region.

We were travelling from Gothenburg Sweden, SAS delayed our baggages and never made it possible to deliver them during our skip trip. we were basically in a stress mode for the entire trip, so hard to explain what we feel about bad Hofgastein as it is SAS's fault, besides that, it is a beautify town.

A nice little town with history.

A nice little town with history. The city walls and towers are still there to see. You can walk around the old city center and read about the history of the town. There are several restaurants and café. One could go to a cinema or go listening to the music, but this is to be checked in advance. Hiking in the mountain forests or cycling - this is what you do here. There are downhill ski routes, but we were in summer and could not say anything about these. Within an hour of driving you can reach popular touristic places around, like Dachstein, Hallstadt, Pongau or Salzburg.

Gorgeous view of mountains, great place for nature-lovers, you can spend there some quality time both in winter & in summer. Hallstatt, Zell am See, Dachstein are only 1 hour drive from Wagrain. Be aware of toll roads & tunnels (above the motorway fee). If you are travelling with kids, they will enjoy the Hermann Maier Freizeitpark in Flachau (ca 15-20 mins drive from Wagrain). You should check out the opening schedule of supermarkets and restaurants, eg. after 9 PM, you might not find any open places or restaurants could have their own break days.

Great base city for traveling around Salzburg region. We have small kids and it was perfect for our kind of trip. There are various pharmacies and supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing stores, even a little market on the weekends, and just great facilities all around (including a playground for kids).

Filzmoos is one of the most beautiful villages in Austria. The mountains around are exceptional, summer hiking is real joy there. The village has everything- lot of fancy hotels, restaurants, summer terraces, swimming pool.

We were there for a winter sky holiday.

We were there for a winter sky holiday. Location is very good - not too far from our country. Slopes are exactly what we need - red-blu, with fast lifts and not crowded of people even on a pick of Christmas period . All the area is a great value for money and we will definitely come back. Apreski bar at the slope next to the gondola is super party place after ski and we spended there our evenings with much emotions. We visited also Therme and it was a great experience- at this time there was a laser show and disco party - great experience for any ages. At the center we found some good restaurants and pizza places for dinner. Our stay was too short for more but we will come back to continue..

Grossarl is a booming ski town but in June 2023 the part west of the river was essentially a huge building site. However it was great for mountain walking once away from the town itself. With a guest card (free from your accommodation) one can travel on local buses in the valley for 1 Euro per person per trip! There is a very adequate Billa supermarket.

A quiet and secluded place, lovely for hiking and views. I guess in winter it is good for skiing, we went in September and stayed for 2 nights, which seemed just right, as there are not that many options for bars and restaurants in the village.
