- From US$214.22 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 2,585 reviewsMy partner and I stayed in a King Suite and it was so lovely, clean and comfortable with modern touches. The layout was spacious, practical and made sense. I loved that the hotel provided a "courtesy room" to use after check-out, as we wanted to take a shower and freshen up before heading to the airport. We did not dine at the hotel's restaurants, but they looked nice. Muddy's Cafe was just a short walk away from the hotel which we highly recommend! As for parking, it was AUD15/ day for secure underground parking or free parking right in front of the hotel. Housekeeping was tidy and very efficient. The pools were fantastic. We would stay here again if we came back to Cairns. Thanks to the lovely team who made our babymoon stay very memorable!Guest review byEe LingSingapore
- From US$129.92 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.0Good - What previous guests thought, 3,218 reviewsThe staff is super friendly, due to the off season we were able to have an early check-in which was great! The staff would show interest in our plans during our stay and they were very helpful. The location is fine enough, but the city centre isn’t really reachable walking, so we just took Ubers for like 8 dollars which was perfectly fine. The room itself was very clean it’s maybe a bit more old fashioned, but it kinda fit the ambiance of the hotel. In general I was very satisfied with my stay after traveling for so long, thank you hotel Tropiq!Guest review byJosé SabineNetherlands

There really isn’t much to see in downtown Cairns.
There really isn’t much to see in downtown Cairns. To enjoy it, you have to go out to the islands, but this always requires paying a high price, and there aren’t many options in terms of timing. I would instead recommend staying briefly at a resort on one of the islands and then returning. Kuranda and the other rainforests were more developed as tourist attractions than I expected. Everywhere you go, you have to pay an entrance fee, and the shops all felt the same without any unique character.Guest review bychoiAustralia - 10.0

Palm Cove is spectacular but not a big place, so nightlife is limited and we stayed for 5 very rainy days. So that was a bit sad. Pepper’s has lots of rooms and many are up stairs with no lifts so be aware of that. Swim up bar is a plus for sure. Lots of noise from the pool early in the morning not so much. You cannot swim in the ocean due to crocodiles. Get a hotel with a good pool.Guest review byAngelaAustralia - 10.0
The little village has everything you need.
The little village has everything you need. Great places to eat with lots of choices of types of food. The little convenience store has what you need for a quick shop like the essentials of milk, bread, veggies and drinks. There is a beautiful women’s clothes shop next to the convenience store that has Italian Linen clothes which are beautiful and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. I was a female solo traveler and I felt safe the whole time I was there.Guest review byDeborahAustralia - 8.0

The beautiful breeze was lovely whenever I sat on a comfortable seat on the grass near the beach... We thought the views were amazing in every way we turned on the walkway across the road from the Agincourt Beachfont...We will be returning. It will most likely be in the winter though, as humidity is very high in the summer for us, as a couple from the central coast, in N.S.W. Thank you! It is close enough for a drive to Cairns, Port Douglas and other beautiful spots.Guest review byMoniqueAustralia - 6.0

The North Cairns area can be noisy because of its location near the airport. Road noise is also a concern during the day because the apartment is on the1st floor and no sound barriers between its balcony and the road nearby. Overall, though, the noise level greatly reduces in the evening and did not affect our sleeping at night.Guest review byColin J.Australia - 8.0

A good alternative to the much trendier and therefore pricier northern beaches of Trinity Beach and Palm Cove. And definitely much quieter! A comprehensive shopping strip on the main street and of course not far from the large shopping complex at Smithfield. A few restaurant options available, including the yacht club. There is a bus service into Cairns CBD, but I would recommend hiring a vehicle for your stay. Taxis are very expensive.Guest review byRuss & JulieAustralia - 10.0
Situated close to the airport made travelling easy.
Situated close to the airport made travelling easy. Property is gated so felt safe and secure. Having a local personal contact helped with knowledge fior eating out and shopping. Situated is so convenient for visitors to Cairns and so many locally based things for visitors to Queensland.Guest review byJaneUnited Kingdom - 10.0

If you have a hire car, Westcourt is a good place to stay. Away from the mad tourist traffic and late-night city noises. Just a two-minute drive to the Esplanade, Cairns Station, major shopping centre and the city centre.Guest review bySwan - 10.0

Beautiful, quiet and relaxing (wasn’t crowded at all when we were there in June). Seems to be off the beaten path for tourists—seemed to be more locals there, so probably not typically as crowded as some of the more well known beaches. We probably wouldn’t have known about it if we weren’t staying at a house on the beach. Neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, although not a ton of beach parking for visitors. Beautiful walking path, small playground, picnic tables, incredible sunrises, sand is soft and silky, water is warm to wade in, however, swimming is not recommended due to possible crocodiles.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

The esplanade and the Cairns museum were great for the fascinating history of the town. The beautiful beaches at Palm Cove and Yorkeys Knob and the stunning waterfalls, lakes and Rainforest of the hinterland. The botanic gardens were wonderful.Guest review byTonyAustralia
