The host Shane made us feel very welcome
and was a lovely guy. He took a special interest in making sure we were looked after and had everything we needed, he is truly passionate about his job and made our stay extra special! Thank you Shane 😆! The retreat is beautiful and was everything we wanted and more. it was private, spotlessly clean and the spa bath was very romantic lit with candles. The complimentary bubbly on arrival and the complimentary breakfast was so delicious and just topped such a special weekend for myself and my partner on our one year anniversary. I definitely recommend the Escarpment retreat to all couples, it will stay in our memories forever and we will definitely be back! Looking forward to seeing you again Shane 😌

From the moment we stepped into The Tamborine Boutique Hotel, we were blown away! The staff here are absolutely incredible—they went above and beyond to make our stay feel special. Every single person we encountered was so friendly, accommodating, and genuinely eager to ensure we had the best experience possible. The views are absolutely stunning, and the food was out of this world. The sensational continental breakfast each morning was a highlight—so fresh, so tasty, and packed with variety. Plus, the pool is perfect for relaxing and taking in the gorgeous surroundings. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We’ll be back for sure!

Peace and quiet. Only nature sounds could be heard.
No immediate neighbours.
Bed was extremely comfortable.
Spacious bathroom.
Incredible location in the middle of a forest/ Springbrook National Park.
Beautiful wood cabin with outdoor deck.
Kitchen had a stove (no oven) and a microwave, sandwichmaker, rice cooker, kettle.
Air con and heater available.
Being off grid: we appreciated not having TV reception and no internet in the cabin. There was a DVD player and a CD player. Reception had a nice selection of DVD movies.
Graham at reception was very helpful and gave us great tips on places of interest.

Nathan, the host, was so welcoming. We were relocated to Worendo Cottages at the last minute, due to our original booking being affected by the Christmas Day storms. We travelled with three 12 year old girls who absolutely adored the animals and the swimming holes closeby. It is so picturesque, even when it was raining, as was the case when we stayed. Highly recommend this property for people who love nature, walking and wild swimming. Thank you once again, Nathan!

Loved the warm welcoming ambience..enjoyed the last filtered rays of the sun from the deck while we watched the birds feeding. Enjoyed a bubble spa bath looking out through the trees. And cosied up by the fire to watch a movie after cooking dinner in the well setup kitchen.
Such a great area for walks to waterfalls, Natural Bridge and just being up and away from the hustle and bustle of cities.

Mount Tamborine is honestly one of my favourite places in...
Mount Tamborine is honestly one of my favourite places in QLD.
It’s the perfect mix of rainforest, views, good coffee and wine, and short adventures that don’t exhaust you — but still feel like an escape.
My absolute favourite walks there are Witches Falls and Palm Grove (Jenyns) — both are fun, beautiful, slightly challenging, and give that real rainforest feeling. Those two were the MOST enjoyable for me.
I also love that Mt Tamborine has a peaceful, “holiday but close to home” vibe — you can hike, then go for a coffee, a wine tasting, a nice lunch, then relax again. It feels like a real reset — but only 45–60 minutes from GC.
Mount Tamborine = green, calm, beautiful, adventurous — and those 2 hikes are the BEST ones for me.

It is a great place to be if you want to be peaceful and quiet or if you feel that it is time to go back to nature for refreshing and refocusing. Allow at least 45 minutes to get to O'Reilly and ensure not to travel in rainy or stormy weather conditions.

Loation, peace, quiet, nature, the birds, fireplace and staff are amazing. We've been coming here 15 years. The kitchen needs an upgrade with utensils and pans, knives need sharpening, spa could use some maintenance, but that's all doable. We have already booked for next year. Special place with special memories. If you want to switch off, relax, reconnect and enjoy nature, this is the place to do it .

Of great concern was the letter provided to us at check-in
(see photo attached) suggesting we could be rewarded for giving the facility a 10 star rating. This defeats the objective of a review system and will end up disappointing future guests. This is not the type of practices I would expect from a facility like Kooralbyn☹️

Our group of friends had a fantastic weekend at the Bower Cottages. The cottages were charming, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Nestled in a peaceful bush setting, it felt like a true escape from the hustle of daily life. We loved sitting out on the deck in the mornings, surrounded by birdsong and nature. The location was perfect – just a short drive to the wineries, walking trails, and local shops. Highly recommend for a relaxing and comfortable stay with friends!

Friendly, Relaxing and Peaceful to suit our needs. Photos did show a firepit in advert but there wasn't one! Need lighting ambience outdoor sitting area as the night light very harsh. Wifi not good and no remote for TV. Need pots, pans for cooking on stove or BBQ. Bathroom compliments Need to be individually wrapped for hygiene, not large bottles of household supplies. Need entrance lights up driveway and sign on gate for locating property on the busy road!

Fabulous location surrounded by National Parks offering numerous activities. Vibrant small town with lots of interesting & useful outlets. Surrounding suburbs are so idyllic places to live in amongst the rainforest.

The hosts are incredibly accommodating.
The hosts are incredibly accommodating. We were due to stay in Beechmont and, unfortunately, the accommodation was affected by the wild weather over Xmas/New Years.
On the day before we were due to arrive, I phoned Nathan as an alternative accommodation and he took us in and welcomed us.
We all had an absolute ball with tips on swimming holes, animal feeding, kayaking and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
Would 100% recommend and look forward to going back again.
