Hotel is nice and modern and we enjoyed our stay. Beside the temporary street works we had a good place for parking and we managed well with the access based on the message received from the hotel. Breakfast was tasty and we had also a lovely dinner at the restaurant. Personnel was nice and helpful.

The hotel is fantastic, even better than the photos, is extremely clean with the most comfy beds! Has lots of activities for the kids, inside and outside! The breakfast had lots of options even fresh pancakes! The buffet in the evening was delicious, everything was fresh and every night had different food and in a very good price! Great hotel, tasty breakfast, and very nice spa area. Even though the hotel was full with people, there was enough space in the spa and sauna areas. We really enjoyed it for a weekend getaway. There were two pools outside - one very hot one (39 degrees) and one a bit colder to balance the body temperature. Inside, there is a big swimming pool (bring your shower cap) and 3 small Jacuzzis. On a selarate floor there is the sauna area with one steam room and a hot sauna of 68-70 degrees. The surrounding is great. There is bowling, tennis court, bars and kids entertainment room. 3-4 minutes away from the hotel there are also some nice ‘mehana’ restaurants with traditional bulgarian food. Overall, great experience and recommend it for a getaway trip.

The location was great, just a few minutes walk from the town center. Our room was large, well furnished, and comfortable, with a large balcony. THe breakfast was great, good choice every day. Could not fault the hotel in any way - the staff were lovely and helpful, the hotel was spotless and looked the part, too. There was free parking, right outside the hotel, where we could see the car from our room.

The venue is nice and definitely exceeded my expectations given the 2* classification of the hotel. The definitely could get an extra star given what they actually offer in my opinion :-). Tasty home-made food available for both lunch and dinner.

Food and service at Sani was very good.

Food and service at Sani was very good. Train journey to Plovdiv good and very cheap. Trail walks good. Asenovgrad is changing rapidly, new buildings generally look really good. Sign Communication and rubbish collection needs to improve. As does an explanation of how to get to eg pamporovo.

Karlovo is a beautiful, picturesque city surrounded by the mountain. It is a place where humanity crosses nature. It is a perfect place for someone who wants to breathe fresh air and go on hikes, even if you just walk around the city you would see beautiful scenery everywhere. Not to mention that it is a very historicaly rich place and worth to learn about, great visionaries lived there.

Visited for hiking to Balkan Mts, Botev Peak. Enjoyed our stay and the mountain. Imposing Socialist monument at the centre of the town. Nice restaurant at the very center. Nice draft beer and nice surrounding. Other restaurants of Kalofer were closed at the afternoon. We were surprised with the road network of Bulgaria which is in very good condition. Make sure you pay the appropriate vignette online before entering the country by car.

I really do suggest you take a walking tour of Plovdiv as you will miss a lot of interesting places and things to see if you try to do it all on your own. It is a place with hidden gems. We used Free Plovdiv Tour and found the lady very informative and interesting.

This is a great place to visit. My son broke my camera, so I have only half memories documented. More to that, mineral water was off on our second day of staying. I am not sure how and why, but yeah... The town is worth visiting. Do it once and decide for yourself if it is worth to come back. For you. We will some day

Forte was quite small but if your into history or just the views well worth a visit parking and entry for two people 9 leva as you would expect lost of steps put all had safety railings you will need to Google the history of the forte and church as on site information is limited

I think every Bulgarian must visit the Museum of Vasil...

I think every Bulgarian must visit the Museum of Vasil Levski - it is kind of mandatory, we are obliged as descendants of those brave men. The other place that charmed us was a restaurant called "Едно време" (Once Upon a Time). It has a great atmosphere and service, and the cuisine is delicious.
