- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.4Good - What previous guests thought, 917 reviewsThe rooms are very big and clean, the bathrooms are also big and clean, the hotel is right on the beach, the parking is 20 leva/night, the pool is big, but not enough beach lounger, the food and the drinks was very good... A lot of places where you can buy souvenirs and a lot of things... And now... For all the people who say that the food is not good and it was the same in every day, let me tell you something... For the money that you paid, you can't eat caviar and who knows what expensive food you want... The food was very good and it was more than enough !!! There was on every meal 5-6 types of cooked food and a lot of salads... and a lot of fruits and deserts... and... everything... You can choose ONE OF THEM... not ALL OF THEM every day and in the next day to say that you want something else (another 5-6 types)... Really ??? You are not Elon Musk... Nobody eat at home 5-6 types of cooked food in one day... on one meal !!! I saw there a lot of people who take 4-5 plates of food and they leave 70% of the food on the table, because they can't eat so much !!! WHY DID THEY DO THAT ??? I tell you why... Because they don't care about the food that goes in the trash because of them... and they are... I don't want to say how..................... So, guys, from you leftovers, you can feed another 3 people !!!!! You can eat as much as you want, but put in your plate what you eat, not more... I eat quite a lot, but I put on my plate ONLY what I can eat... If I want more, I go and put again what I want... The food was very good !!! Stop making bad comments about food, you "rich" and arrogant people !!!Guest review byCristi CalianRomania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 886 reviewsWe booked a room with "Park view" but when we got to our room we noticed we had a upgrade and had a room with beach & sea view! This started better than we thought, we were welcomed by the manager Nicolai and he made us feel right at home and said "If you have any questions please ask me or the staff" At the reception the girls Selin, Gerigana, Ivon and Yoanna had an answer on every question we asked and their knowledge was excellent. Because my partner is a celiac we were introduced to the restaurant manager Petur and he showed her around the restaurant which food she could and could not eat (everything is nicely written down on little signs above the food, like Vegan, Gluten etc etc...) The hostess Neli and her staff escorted us to our table and already knew my partner could only have gluten free food. Sylvia is a excellent hostess and took care of us and our wishes in the restaurant, we really felt at home here. There were a la carte restaurants in the Hotel and all you had to do is reserve in advance and you could get a table, our Italian dinner was really nice and well presented, like you were in Italy! The Sauna's were good and hot, just what you expect. We can recommend this hotel to everyone, it's at the end of the boulevard so it's not so loud and you can enjoy a good nights sleep.Guest review byRuudUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 344 reviewsI must give a big thumbs up for the overall cleanliness, amenities and friendly staff. The inside pool and spa were great additions. I enjoyed spending time in the sauna and the nice refreshing swim afterwards. The food was good, and it came in a great variety. It was almost impossible to not find something to your liking. I really appreciated the fact that the staff was very careful, and kept cleaning the tables. The hotel room was very cozy, the beds comfortable, the bathroom HUGE and the air conditioning PERFECT! It was my best experience so far! Overall I'm very pleased and I strongly recommend this location. I will definitely come back.Guest review byAdrian.VintilaRomania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 6.8Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 394 reviewsFirst of all, I would definitely mention the kindness and availability of the staff. Secondly, the comments that there is no choice of food and drinks are not at all accurate, in relation to the price, the variety is excellent, the quality is excellent. Only a spoiled person would complain about the food. The hotel has a private part of the beach where sunbeds and umbrellas are free of charge. Ignore the comments that there are too many steps. While that's true, this is a great exercise to tone it down.Guest review byNenadSerbia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 431 reviewsMy review is for Dolce Vita, the other hotel of this brand. A few days before our check in, we have been told that Dolce Maria is still in renovation so we can stay at Dolce Vita, which was quite a big suprise for us. It is an amazing resort. Conditions are great, food is very qualitive, pools are really nice. Also, the position is very good. You can easily take a walk to the center of the turistic area.Guest review byClaudiu-MarianRomania

The resort is, on my opinion, the best on the Bulgarian sea shore, for our generation (60+). Our trip to Golden Sands was comfortable by our personal car. Parking (paid) difficult to manage when the hotel is almost full.Guest review bymugurRomania - 8.0
Very lovely and compact if you're staying near Varna Beach.
Very lovely and compact if you're staying near Varna Beach. Huge pedestrian zone, easy to navigate the city (I used Google Maps the first day, and then I was roaming like a native). Loved the huge stretch of park along the coast, all the restaurants and bars. I arrived just as school started, so on the fringe of the season. People very, very friendly. Absolutely loved the beach bar and restaurant Pechkata and the Sea View. Calamar Bar. And my favorite, The Forrest. Swam with the dolphins at the dolphinarium (fantastic!) and even bumped a jellyfish on the head by accident (lucky that, but the poor sucker ended up on the beach two days later). For my first visit to Bulgaria, very positive (I mean, the jellyfish did NOT sting me, so there is that).Guest review byfjdlaödfjAustria - 10.0
We began our trip in downtown Varna.
We began our trip in downtown Varna. This area is more modern, beautiful, and calm. And still, it is close to anything that you might need from downtown Varna (such as the Farmer's Market or the clothing stores).Guest review byStevenUnited States - 8.0

To get to the city center from the location we were hosted was very easy. 10 minutes walking to arrive the restaurants area (which were plenty and with good foods). Also small markets with beach articles and mini-markets to buy what you needs (groceries and other stuff) were near by. Restaurant recommendations: 1. OKOTO 2. YARDGuest review byCatalin MariusRomania - 8.0

Very crowded over the w/e as of friday and the poll and pool area are too small for all guests Would not recommend the hotel part which is just above the outdoor pool area if one want to relax However great during the week in every aspectGuest review byMiloslavMonaco - 10.0

It's a nice little place but we did only get some food there, we are not so interested in these things although the trip from Sofia till the destination was a pleasant one with some amazing Seaview's. In the little village where we stayed was a restaurant, we sat down there and enjoyed a good meal for an excellent price. There are campings and resorts close by but compared to Nessebar, Pomorie etc the is quiet and what we like. Watch the speedbumps when you drive to Varna.Guest review byJohnBulgaria - 8.0
Golden sands now is very turistic and way too crowded.
Golden sands now is very turistic and way too crowded. The walking corridor along the beach and the hotels now is full of stores and restaurants and sometimes you cannot even walk. There are several things to explore in the area besides de beach ( which to me is better towards Varna than golden sands). Varna sea garden, and harbor are a nice thing to explore while you are there. Also other historical places as the Ovech fortress or the aladhza monastery are good options. We also took our chances and went to Nesebar old town ( 2 hours from varna) totally worthed.Guest review byMaría AngélicaRomania - 6.0

From a tourism perspective, it's not a very interesting city. It has a large park, a less impressive pedestrian street, and a long beach that is crowded and littered (lots of cigarette butts are scattered around). There are a few scattered socialist-era sights still in the city. I would recommend visiting the nearby Balchik instead.Guest review byAttila - 4.0

This is no resort, it'a a location full of hotels and that's all. Nothing to do, nowhere to go, nothing to see. Small patches of beaches, allways over-full and expensive. There is nothing to "like". Go elsewhere.Guest review byPK9999Romania - 8.0
Nice and not too big place to spend few days.
Nice and not too big place to spend few days. The locals are trying to make it look nicer as lots of road maintenance and repair was taking place. Nice food places around (but not all especially the one around the main street). Suggest places like 'Okoto' and 'Panorama' for both lunch and dinnerGuest review byStan NLNetherlands
