It’s been about three months since my stay, so my memory of the hotel is a bit hazy. But one thing I’ll never forget is the wonderful lady at the reception. I arrived late in the evening, and although the kitchen was closed, she kindly offered me some food, which was a thoughtful gesture, and much appreciated after a long day of travel. Her warm attitude made a real difference and left a lasting impression.

Did not have breakfast, young vibrant staff . We arrived late but they were on duty & most helpful. Place is filled with stunning art and we got an upgrade to a fabulous room. Large room , love the decor and lighting system was very good . Literally around the corner from the refurbished Central Hall, And beautiful mosque and synagogue. Walking distance to local market place , where I bought a lovely local Bulgarian oven pot ! If you are an Art / Cultural lover , this hotel is a must ! Staff so friendly and helpful !

The location was superb, right above the Christmas market, lots of restaurants and pubs around as well. The breakfast was wonderful, the design of the hotel was spectacular. The bed was comfy and good sized pillows. Huge TV in the room, coffee machine, complimentary waters, slippers and toiletries. There's a shower and a tub and the room was big too.

We had a nice experience. The room was lovely, very clean and we liked a lot the decoration. Also there was a coffee machine, so we could drink our morning espresso! ☺️ Not to forget, we were in the last floor and we had a balcony with a wonderful view. If we visit the city again, we will stay there for sure!

The hotel is a bit far from the city center, but close to the subway station and to a very beautiful park. You can get to the subway in about 5 minutes, so the location is not an issue. And the view to the park is terrific, if your windows are on that side. The breakfast was good too, so no complaints.

There is a large supermarket right next door. Also close to parks and tram. The restaurant is good. Please do not use the laundry if you are unfamiliar with Bulgarian numbers. I spent $50 US for laundry. More than my clothes were worth.

i just drove through the village to the hotel at the top. there's a great trail near a stream in the forest (i suspect that there is a stream only in spring, when the snow is melting). found some salamandras in the forest :)

It’s in a quiet village zone outside Sofia very close to the airport and has parking at the hotel which I must say is a very big bonus as I insure you after landing you don’t want to try to negotiate the traffic in Sofia .

I did not know anything about Sofia but my companion...

I did not know anything about Sofia but my companion suggested going there. I then looked up on the internet and found many things that would be of interest to me. We went to the synagogue, the mosque, the red flat, the sofia museum, many ruins. We found places to buy food since the apartment had a full kitchen we did not to eat in restaurants all the time. But there are plenty of places to eat as well. I never felt unsafe. Many people speak English but I was also prepared with a translator on my phone. That was useful when reading signs as not many of them have English. We really enjoyed the "old world" flavor of Sofia with the streetcars whizzing by. My one regret is that I did not buy tickets to the opera or ballet in advance and they were sold out when I got there.

Sofia was a very pleasant surprise.

Sofia was a very pleasant surprise. First of all, the airport is right next to the city (and you can take the metro to get into the city, paying with your bank or credit card). The city itself, really nice. Architecture (buildings, churches, museums) quite interesting. Prices are way more friendly than West Europe! (having been on France and Germany the days before arriving to Bulgaria, it was highly welcomed!). A lot of history (which is the main reason I got there). Transport works out fine (metro, buses, trolleys and trams). Overall, a great experience and a must-see city.
