- From US$234.45 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 40 reviewsThe location was perfect for the places we visited such as Alexandria Bay and Clayton. The cabin was very clean and well-stocked. The bed was quite comfortable and the paneling was beautiful to look at. There is a series of steps down to the dock where we sat and enjoyed the peacefulness of the river. It was very relaxing but also good exercise on the steps. The staff was very friendly and helpful.Guest review byShirley DeBonoUnited States
- From US$102.79 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.5Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 560 reviewsGreat spot to enjoy some off-season sunshine along the St Lawrence. Kimberley the manager was very helpful, lent us her prized corkscrew and even bought us a beer when we bumped into her at a bar in town later in the evening. Lovely little town, although I can imagine it gets a lot busier and more expensive in the summer. Definitely great for a peaceful sunny Autumn weekend.Guest review byDaveUnited Kingdom

A must visit the Kingston Penn and Musem . Visit the Musem first then go on the tour of the Penn. Cruise of the island was alright . We went on the three hour tour. The entertainment on this cruise was enjoyable. Thank you. Where to eat top rated Manadrian Buffet excellent. Dennys on Bension poor service they ran out of food, salad and soup , this was at 730 pm. Go to one eye jacks excellent food and service. From our location Comfort Inns on Bension was easy to get around.Guest review byDeborahCanada - 10.0

Gananoque is a great location to visit all of the 1000 islands on the Canadian side. The town had some nice restaurants. The Old English Pub, Purple House and Grayson's at Wood View Inn. took a 5 Hour tour with City Cruises of the 100 Island with a stop at Boldens castle from the docks in town. It was fantastic. The vibe in town is very much geared to tourism. When i planned this trip I knew nothing about Gananoque, but I hit a home run.Guest review byJamesUnited States - 10.0

Watertown is close to 1000 islands, which is a beautiful stretch of the St Lawrence river. We drove through, but we are sure there are beautiful hikes to explore and of course if you have a boat, it is a paradiseGuest review byRobertCanada - 8.0
Reeked of diesel fuel on Rockport Cruises unfortunately.
Reeked of diesel fuel on Rockport Cruises unfortunately. Otherwise it was a great cruise! Aquatarium was a little bit of a disappointment. There was plenty of room in the reptile area, but they were housed in cages that I felt were far too small for their needs with lots of space in between. 2 cages were empty and had no labels as if the reptiles had died. I really liked the part where kids could touch the creatures of the sea bottom, and I will suggest that to Science North in Sudbury, it is an excellent display. . But there were a few displays that were empty, the place kind of looked like they were in the midst of renos. Also, it was really far from parking and since I used a cane I felt it overly difficult. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I did find a plush beaver for a very reasonable price in the gift shop.Guest review byLinda - 2.0
This was our first trip to the 1,000 Islands.
This was our first trip to the 1,000 Islands. There is no comparison between Alexandria Bay and Clayton. After the disastrous start, refusing to stay in our Alexandria Bay hotel, we stayed in Clayton. That is a beautiful town and we enjoyed our stay there.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 10.0
Clayton is amazing!
Clayton is amazing! We only wished that more of the restaurants and coffee shops would’ve been open during the morning hours. Many of them did not open until 4 PM. It did not give us many options for lunch. I was really sad to see that the Christmas store closed! :-(. I will be back to Clayton next year, though! Having dinner at Diprizios’s was the highlight of our eating out! Delicious!Guest review byVictoriaUnited States - 10.0

Ogdensburg is the home of the Fredrick Remington Museum , which is well worth visiting if you like painting and sculpture. The town is located on the south shore of the St Lawrence seaway, which is very scenic and near a bridge to Canada. I was on my way to Quebec City, and stopping in Ogdensburg to visit the museum was well worth the time.Guest review byLindaUnited States - 8.0
It was hot, and Kingston was not planned as a primary stop.
It was hot, and Kingston was not planned as a primary stop. We would have liked to go to the waterfront, as we have done before, and take a boat cruise, followed by dinner. The problem is that it is so busy now and finding a parking space is problematic.Guest review byRobertCanada
