From the location, to the view from room, u can choose Room 22, with a Varendah, everything is super nice. They did not have a buffet breakfast on weekdays, but made special arrangements for us. We are vegetarians. Thank you for taking care.

We loved everything about the hotel. First thing to know — it is located on the first station Bort of the same gondola that goes up to the First. The biggest advantage of the hotel's location is that it has a direct open view on Eiger and Grindelwald. You literally feel like a bird. The view from the window and a little area with loungers in front of our room were breathtaking. Literally, no words can describe this view.
Staying at the hotel was already a gem of the trip.
The breakfast was very nice. Everything was tasty, the restaurant interior is cozy. We loved it.

Excellent location, beautiful view. Easy to pick up keys in a box. Well equipped kitchen, salt, pepper, oil and more. Welcome pasta to cook and coffee. Underfloor heating. Cowbells every morning instead of an alarm clock.

It is too far from Interlaken not having a view of the lake...
It is too far from Interlaken not having a view of the lake as pictures shown, it is located on the top of the mountain, it takes about 20 mn drive on an extremely narrow road to reach there.
Not a single supermarket or restaurant nearby, it is recommended for people seeking tranquility and peace, not for those who plan to visit other places every day.
a washing machine would be an advantage.
I liked that it has Fondue maker and all what's needed to prepare some homemade meals.

Very nice location, great view of the lake and excellent walks.
Be careful of the local drivers. In the 3 days we stayed at Axalp we were bullied by 4 very aggressive drivers on the mountain roads.
