Its prime location, directly opposite the train station, makes exploring the city effortless, with easy access to transportation, including the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service throughout the day. The culinary experience was equally delightful, as we relished breakfast and lunch at the hotel’s restaurant, under the direction of a new Italian chef. The exquisite dishes brought us immense pleasure and left a lasting impression

Everyone familiar with Mann’s the magic mountain, will immediately recognize the inspirational material, and soon find him/herself on the «horizontal» position, enjoying the wonderful view, and possibly enjoying a Maria Mancini, walking in the footsteps of Hans Castorp. Considering the purpose of our trip - riding the Rhaetian Railway, we chose a hotel by the station in Davos Platz and we were not disappointed. Perfect room on request with balcony, room amenities matched the hotel rating, rooms and design very nice, excellent room service. Breakfast slightly monotonous but sufficient. Excellent restaurants in the hotel, I personally recommend the Chinese Golden Dragon...we were very satisfied, thank you.

The room was nice and big, the bathroom was really good. I really like the fact that you can book the spa area privately - we did this every day! The restaurant is also really good. The staff were really nice and even drove us to the train station when we were checking out!

I arrived on the afternoon of a festival where the one-way...

I arrived on the afternoon of a festival where the one-way Promenade was traffic free. With many street food stalls, music and a lot of public. The walk around the lake was enjoyable and also a trip up to Jakobshorn of reduced ticket prices (Fr. 18.- return, make sure that at the top you can get through the turnstile and not pay for the downhill journey like we did. Got a refund at the cash desk at the bottom though) for hotel guests with the tourist card. Also free travel on the the nostalgic train to Filisur and back and on all buses was a bonus. Scenery is splendid, and if you're a train enthusiast, it's the place to be for the Bernina or Glacier Express. Can recommend a bite to eat or just Coffee and Cake at Kaffee Klatsch on the Promenade. Schatzalp is just a funicular away and you'll feel lifted back to the beginning of the last century.

Klosters Serneus is a very nice village with a direct...

Klosters Serneus is a very nice village with a direct connection to the ski area of Klosters Serneus. The slopes are well prepared, the ski lifts are modern and fast, and the slopes are wide. It is not the place for Austrian style apres ski. This resort is more US style, up market and relaxed.

Amazing and quiet location.

Amazing and quiet location. We visited Davos during our stay as well and found that too busy - whereas Klosters was right up our alley. Quaint, with a few boutiques and very nice restaurants. Lots to do locally and plenty of transport methods to get anywhere you like - including cable cars to several peaks. Would recommend a stay to everyone.

Davos - and Klosters - are great for holidays in summer and...

Davos - and Klosters - are great for holidays in summer and winter. skiing and nordic skiing anyway. But in summer there is the lake for kayaking or surfing or - if you don't mind the cold water - swimming. The mountains for downhill biking or hikes. The outdoors are second to none. In addition Davos offers a fantastic cultural program for visitors. Concerts, Young Artists or established orchestras etc. --- you can get special and unique experiences there. I highly recommend to look at the visitors or guest program by the DavosKlosters Tourist Board. From disc-golf to carriage rides, archery or visits by historic bus to Monstein brewery -- a divers and fabulous array of offers, you can only book them 2 weeks in advance but it's so worth it. Loads to do, adventure park, playgrounds and so much more. And you can get anywhere by bus or train.

Klosters is perfect for hikers, skiers and mountain bike riders. An easy 2-and-a-half-hour train trip from Zurich. Everything you need is within walking distance. Try Gastehaus Kessler for a great meal.

Davos and Klosters, wonderful places to visit in Summer (excursions) and in Winter (skiing), nature, mountains, landscape, good restaurants. Not to mis is the walk or coach-drawn carriage excursion from Klosters to Montbiel and Alp Garfiun.

We did enjoy staying in Klosters, for us it was so much...

We did enjoy staying in Klosters, for us it was so much nicer than Davos. It was quiet at night time and had a good range of shops and cafes. An excellent Co-op sold a huge variety of foods. We only ate out once - at the Sonne Restaurant, where we had a lovely meal. Reasonably priced too. We made use of the swimming pool - had a laned area reserved for swimmers. I also liked the Nutli Huschi local museum. well worth a visit.
