It was perfect one night stay for us, because we were arriving @2am and didn't want to travel far when we are already exhausted and sleepy. Plus it was an inside walk to the hotel. Go to the second floor exit and you will see the hotel name showing the direction.

Maya was extremely helpful and excellent communicator. She was able to make all of my activities bookings, taxi bookings and helped with ordering food at local restaurants. She also helped me with pre-arrival information about getting around Beijing and how to pay for things when in town. Maya's spoken English and English comprehension is also excellent, this made communication very easy and she was able to solve problems easily. I was also lucky to meet with senior staff and share conversation. He is very lucky to have the staff he has. They are an intelligent group of people The room was excellent, good water pressure in shower, clean and modern. I recommend this place to stay.

The hotel turned out to be better than in the photo and in some reviews. Let's start in order. Location: a very good point near a large and beautiful park. The hotel itself: on the ground floor there is a large lobby with an aquarium wall and a grand piano, a comfortable lounge area, a bar, a restaurant and a reception, there are also toilets, an entrance to Starbucks from the hotel and an ATM for withdrawing cash. On the top floor there is a swimming pool and a gym. By the way, only those aged 16 or 18 are allowed into the gym, but you can use the pool at any age. The water in the pool is cool for us, +27. But there is a beautiful view of the city through the panoramic windows of the pool. Room and elevators: you can get to your floor only by calling the elevator with a key card, which also opens the room. Room: our room was apt, and this is quite excellent for traveling. The bed, pillows and a large blanket provide excellent quality sleep. The shower pressure is sufficient, there is a cleaning kit: shampoo / soap / face wash / body lotion, toothbrushes are given with a key card. The living room is comfortable, there is a soft sofa, a table and two chairs. The room had an excellent washing machine with a drying function, which could be turned on separately if you needed to dry. There is a kitchen, a stove / microwave / kettle / two cups, two teaspoons and two glasses. That's all the equipment was. I did not clarify at the reception, but perhaps you need to let them know that you want to cook food and need frying pans / a saucepan / plates / cutlery and other cooking utensils, and maybe they will bring it. Cleaning every day, unless you hang a sign "not today". By the way, the sign on both sides means "not today". The breakfasts at the hotel are great, tasty and healthy. These were some of the best breakfasts during my travels. All the staff are friendly, will help when needed, will prompt.

Good location - walking distance to many points of interest. The staff was very helpful - for example they have assisted us with arrangement of appointments to visit the Tiananmen square. Also there are many cafes, restaurants and a big grocery store nearby. The room was very spacious!! Breakfast was just excellent: great variety of choices was offered (chineese, american, fresh salads, fruits), and pancakes with house pear jam were just yammy!

Wonderful location — just one block from the subway station and surrounded by shopping streets and local stores. The room was spotless, and I must highlight the amazing lady who cleaned our room (835). She not only made the bed but also organized our things beautifully — something I’ve never seen in any other hotel. That’s truly going the extra mile! 👏🏻 The hotel itself is huge, very well maintained, and perfectly clean. The staff are kind and the doormen extremely attentive. Breakfast is varied, with both local dishes and a full continental buffet — highly recommended! Another big plus: the heating system worked perfectly, keeping the room at an ideal temperature even when it was freezing outside (not all hotels in China have that!). For travelers coming to China, I suggest installing Alipay and the necessary local apps, and getting an eSIM or SIM card before arrival.

The property is unique. From the outside, you are amongst decades/centuries old buildings, but when you set foot in the property, there is a blend of modernity and tradition. The rooms are very well kept and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast at Toast was delicious! The staff are very welcoming and helpful - a note on that: when we checked in, we received a little map of the area with different places highlighted. Although we actually live in Beijing, we utilised the map and found some hidden gems in the vicinity.

Incredible setting with both the exterior and interior designed to perfection. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and fitted with top-quality amenities. The artwork displayed throughout the hotel adds a refined touch, making the whole experience truly special. Service is outstanding—especially the daytime receptionist, Bi8bo, who was exceptionally helpful. Housekeeping is impeccable, keeping everything spotless. IT is great when I had issue with VPN. Without a doubt, this is a true 5-star hotel and one of the best I’ve stayed in.

It's best for the great wall.

It's best for the great wall. I recommend going to simatai for the sunset, jinshanling for the awe inspiring views and panlong for the untamed wild serenity. To get to panlong, you need to didi or get a car to the bottom, then pay 25rmb to get in. Once at the top, turn right (east). You have to come back the way you came(apparently there is another way down but we couldn't find it). Wear sensible shoes. Miyun isn't easy to get around. Factor in the price of hiring a car into your trip.

A major drawback that this city should improve is the smoking areas. People can smoke freely on the streets, which negatively affects those with respiratory problems and children. This makes our city walks less enjoyable. In addition, many locals tend to spit on the streets, which is another issue that should be addressed.

The ability of the receptionist to communicate to me in...

The ability of the receptionist to communicate to me in English was very professional. The Chef was very very friendly knowing that i was of African decent, he made me feel at home by taking me round and giving me insight of every single food served. All this was on the 31st December evening. He became my family on the night.

An amazing city - probably doesn't need more than a 5 day...

An amazing city - probably doesn't need more than a 5 day trip. A day-long excursion to the Great Wall of China is a must (hire a driver rather than spending 2 hours on a bus) and get there early to beat the queues for the chairlift up and toboggan down. Starting early is important most days as there are SO many tourists (mostly Chinese) at all the major sights. If you're there longer - consider going to a hot springs (onsen) and choose one that the locals use (we went to one in the Fengtai area) and taking a day trip to another city (we took the high speed train to Tianjin which was fun). The Temple of Heaven was better than the Summer Palace (IMHO) and Beijing Zoo was dismal - only go if you absolutely MUST see the pandas. Get a good VPN before you travel and stay connected to this to be able to use Instagram and WhatsApp. Set up AliPay with your payment details before you go - we didn't use cash once in a week and AliPay lets you book taxis, pay for the metro, pay in shops and pay individuals directly. It's essential. Consider getting WeChat too - people in China use this instead of Whatsapp. Carry your passport with you at all times - you'll need it everywhere - including spot checks in metro stations etc. Have a great trip!

Was in the middle of everything on both sides of the busy...

Was in the middle of everything on both sides of the busy road , shopping centres with a restaurants ,geat view over that part of the City a very busy road but no noise in the rooms, payed breakfast restaurant buffet. The weather was for me too cold , winter with cold winds
