If you are looking to enjoy what Guilin has to offer, do not hesitate to book this hotel. Everything was excellent, and I was made to feel very welcome. The receptionist "Juuga(?)" was most polite, kind hearted and helpful; sending me various locations of spots to go (pagodas, flute reed cave, night markets, famous goose restaurant, lakes / elephant trunk hill) and helping me set up the Yangshuo cruise tour. I would not have enjoyed Guilin as much as I did had I not come to this hotel - I would've been clueless. I also have an extremely cut figure at the moment and am on a ketogenic diet, they prepared breakfasts for me as well to meet my needs, which was included in the price. The room was beautiful, cosy and warm.

Very nice hotel, excellent location and very helpful staff! The room is very well appointed and clean. The bed is super comfortable. Loved the shower and the bathtub, great laundry facilities and breathtaking view from the rooftop. I would definitely recommend it if you stay in Guilin!

Everything was great! To be honest, it felt more like a homestay (in a good way) because the staff was so welcoming and helpful! Some of them only speak Chinese but Melody speaks English fluently, so I never had any issues because of the language barrier. She organized all my transfers and even told the driver to help me find my boat. I had the room on the top floor and I would definitely recommend staying there. It's a bit higher than the other buildings, so I felt comfortable leaving my panoramic windows open to enjoy the view. Btw, the room looked the same as in the pictures, so I didn't have to adjust my expectations to reality. There was a lot of natural light and I really liked the design - some traditional Chinese elements with a modern twist. It was exceptionally clean and the bed was soft (if you live in China you know why I needed to mention that). I could only have their proper breakfast once because I would leave too early, but that one time their noodles were top-notch. And on the days when I couldn't have breakfast they would always prepare something I could take with me and it was delicious, too. I especially appreciated that there were always some fruits. Lastly, I'd like to mention the massage you can get there. From what I understood it's the same price everywhere because I saw the exact same paper with all the types of massage at a different hotel. I got the oil massage and I cannot recommend it enough. Overall, the people the hotel works with are great, too.

To start: Helen is an amazing host! Very friendly and super helpful. She even welcomed us with some tasty fruit and juice. As for the accommodation, the rooms are very clean and beds are comfy. Highly recommended!

This property was a place that you need to go and relax. They provided everything that you think you would need for a break away. The staff in the restaurant were so friendly and could speak really good English. The food was so nice and breakfast was western style and delicious. You could order a massage to your room for really good value and they were really polite and it was an excellent massage. They provided transportation details and it was an excellent location to be able to travel all around to the hotspots. The room was lovely and as a couple it was so comfortable. The views from the balcony were amazing.

Everything! The room was super beautiful with a nice view over the lake. All the propriety is really well maintained. Outside you can really relax and enjoy peaceful moments. Staff was amazing, super kind and helpful. Melody helped us to organize activities and also lunch and dinner. We really appreciate her kindness.

Such a beautiful setting overlooking the stunning karst scenery, also with a pool for some relaxing time. Room was spacious and comfortable with the cutest balcony. A standout were all the lovely staff who were so helpful and kind. They organised a driver for us to take us to Xianggong Hill, bamboo raft ride, tea plantation and tea school which was a great day, as well as a taxi ride to the airport. Laundry service was also great, the cheapest we found in China. Highly recommended for your stay in Yangshuo.

Beautiful property with lots of details with cultural reference, magnificent view of the mountains from our room (5th floor family room) and from balcony. Super friendly and helpful staff who helped book show tickets and places to visit. Definitely rent a scooter which make the trip even more authentic, and also Yangshuo is pretty congested and impossible to get a taxi or you stay in traffic in peak touristic season.

Spectacular! Beautiful scenic landscape.

Spectacular! Beautiful scenic landscape. We loved the bamboo rafting on the Yulong River. We also spent a lovely morning at Ruyi Peak with the suspension bridge and the glass walkways and views of the karst landscape stretching into the horizon. We took a 4 hour ride along the Shili corridor on the electric tricycle with a friendly lady driver who stopped at all the scenic viewpoints for us to take photos. We spent an evening on West street but felt it wasn’t enough! We also watched the Liusanjie show but didn’t quite enjoy it due to language barrier. The food was quite repetitive amongst all the restaurants offering the same menu. We enjoyed the bamboo baked chicken, the beer fish and taro pork.

It was as beautiful as we had expected from the photos and...

It was as beautiful as we had expected from the photos and what we heard from friends who have been there. We missed the golden colours of the Longji Rice terraces as it had just been harvested but still enjoyed walking through the village and viewing the terraces. The night cruise through the 4 lakes and 2 rivers was really worth it - 1.5 hrs long - passing brightly lit up scenic points and passing through 2 locks to get to the rivers and round the Elephant Trunk Hill which we had visited during the day. We also visited the Reed Flute Cave which was smaller scale caves but had some interesting cave formations. We explored Jingjiang Princes city which comes with a free guided tour in Mandarin only. Then went on to East-west street where we had street food. After check out we took the Li River cruise to Yangshuo. It was a 4 hour cruise with a buffet lunch. The crew made frequent announcements of all the scenic landmarks not to be missed! The highlight was the scenery that is the background for the 20 yuan note.

We absolutely fell in love with Nanning!

We absolutely fell in love with Nanning! The city is so green and full of life — everywhere you look, there are beautiful trees and parks. The food is amazing as well… delicious, affordable, and so many different flavors to try! There are so many fun things to do, especially the amusement park — it’s definitely a must-visit when you come to Nanning. We only stayed for 3 days this time, but it wasn’t enough… we will absolutely stay longer on our next visit! The only downside is the traffic can be quite crazy, especially during rush hour. If you’re not used to the cars and scooters like in China, it might feel a little overwhelming at first. But honestly, that’s just part of the city’s energy and charm. Overall, Nanning is a wonderful place to travel — green, exciting, and full of great food and friendly people. We can’t wait to come back! 🌿✨

UNESCO site. Beautiful landscapes. wear proper hiking waterproof shoes. Raincoat for rainy days in March. plan to spend at least 2 nights. book rides with the Hotel to facilitate the arrival process...visitors have to pay entrance fee to the Ping On village. there is a ticket office and security gate for this purpose. travel light and enjoy its natural beauty.

Something important to mention is that the map location on booking.com didn't correspond with the actual location of the hotel I stayed in! so this is something to double check and rectify! Beihai old town was fantastic and shopping for pearls and eating out was wonderful-there are beautiful souvenirs, great food and architecture and it is the best place to buy pearls (bracelets, rings, necklaces, broaches etc...) A trip to the nearby Weizhou island is quite the treat but the actual beaches in Beihai seem to get way too/ridiculously crowded in the Summer and seem to be in a state of development with lots of construction taking place next to them!

Yangshuo has grown in the last 10 years ... I found it better than the last time I was there. It is much cleaner, much more organised. It has more attractions to see. Love that electric motors are used on scooters and boats ... meaning the place is much quieter. The local people also seemed much friendlier. It is a great escape from busy cities, to go into nature and see how beautiful the natural scenery is.

Guilin's natural beauty is unquestionable, but the city has to upgrade its facilities such as free wi-fi covering main transportation entries in the city. It is a city with rich cultural and historical heritage, but we cannot see much of the cultural activities. There is a grand building( theatre) beside the Jiefang bridge, which costs 100 million RMB to build, is empty. The public transportation has no electrical display of stops. The recording is difficult to hear and understand.

Nanning is a beautiful city.

Nanning is a beautiful city. We enjoyed an evening exploring the streets around the hotel even though there were quite a large roadwork project going on. We only spent one full day in the city to fit in at the end of our 15 day visa free viit to China. Qinxiushan scenic area is quite stunning and a beauitiful place requiring a full day to fully appreciate. There is a lot more to see in and around Nanning so we may need to return one day!

Beautiful, underrated, I should have stayed one more night.

Beautiful, underrated, I should have stayed one more night. It was very easy to get around and the entire village at Ping'an has English and Chinese signage all on farming/hiking trails. I can't believe how empty the village is and part of me is concerned that not enough tourists are visiting even though I loved the serenity of it. Many stores/hotels were empty or closed, perhaps due to COVID-19.

The view is superb!

The view is superb! I have never seen anything like this in my life. The locals are kind and ready to help. Very safe to travel by family or alone. It's best to spend a week there and explore the region by renting a local electric scooter . But some point of interests are far apart and required to travel by boat so if you can't be bothered, make sure to have your local tour guide to help.
