The service was very warm and very thoughtful in organizing our trip, the hilltop setting was great, the village was very clean, and after the heavy rain, it was just as beautiful as the picture! Our stay at Zhangjiajie Utopia Hotel was exceptional! The service was amazing, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. A special shoutout to Lily, who was incredibly helpful throughout our trip—she assisted with everything from planning our itinerary to sorting out currency and even arranging transportation. This is an incredibly positive place with extremely helpful and friendly service. It's just a 7-minute walk to the main entrance of the national park, and you'll find a night market right outside the guesthouse. Upon arrival, we received a map and clear instructions on how to navigate the park's main attractions. The staff even helped us get all our entrance tickets. I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting this amazing place. The rooms are large, clean, and very comfortable.

We are very pleased to have come across this hotel. A huge thank you to all the staff especially Hu who showed great care and kindness and was very helpful to us. ☺️ The hotel is ideally located with a beautiful view of the park and beautiful rooms where you can sip delicious Chinese tea. In addition, the hotel offers delicious local dishes prepared by chefs who are clearly masters of their craft. ☺️ All staff very smiling Friendly and very positive towards their guests . Clean spacious rooms with a beautiful view of the national park. ☺️ The hotel staff and the owners will not receive five stars from us but with full responsibility we award six stars 👍🏼☺️. Finally, we would like to add a small detail that even though we didn't have our flight until around midnight, we were able to stay at the hotel and relax in nature with beautiful views of the park. Beautiful place, wonderful host. Our host went thousands of extra miles to help us and arrange stuff for us so we can fully enjoy Zhangjiajie in our short 2 days trip. This hotel has the best view in town (if you pick the better room), and the room was super comfy. We went during low season, quite cold but lucky the sky was clear so we can fully enjoy our experience!

Beautiful place to visit for adventurous trekkers and hikers. GEt close to nature and fresh mountain air. Views at special spots are fantastic. I stayed for a week as we need time to rest after the long hikes. Give allowance for thick mist in the highlands and rainy days where views are not clear and visibility is poor. Visit lowland areas (10 mile gallery and golden whip stream) when highlands are misty. Try to avoid the golden week though there are additional buses and staff to help out. During this period, entering through west gate is helpful as human traffic is lesser.

A very unique place to be. A must visit place.

A very unique place to be. A must visit place. We loved it even though we can’t read Chinese and speak a little only. We enjoyed our very short time there. Even in the rain it was great fun. Wear waterproof trainers when it’s rainy season as your feet will get wet and it can be slippery with the wrong footwear.

City with very friendly people from the hotel, the Metro and the tourist places. We loved the Orange Island and the photos we took will always give us memories. The food was not any different from ours back home but it was more tasty. It was easy for us to get around using the metro and taxis.

Beautiful national park to explore and less touristy town full of interesting cuisine and local attractions , not too crowded but lively in the evenings, mountains and glass walk ways amazing , some beautiful under rated ancient Buddha Temples at the top of Tianmin mountain we enjoyed more than Beijing

Great place to be!

Great place to be! The cost of food and everything is noticeably cheaper compared to the major cities of china. High recommend it if you are a night owl, this city never sleeps and is great for grabbing a drink and late night meal. There are also alot of hidden gems up in the mountains.

Stunning!

Stunning! our 2nd favorite natural attraction in China, 2nd only to Huangshan Mountain. lots of great trails with exceptional views of a singular landscape. we stayed inside the park at YOLO hotel, which made access very easy. fortunately, transportation inside the park is shuttle bus only, they run frequently, and there's no congestion from private autos like you get at Yosemite. there's a big focus on "Avatar", but that is only one pillar of hundreds. Zhangjiajie is like Arizona's Grand Canyon except in a temperate rain forest, and on a more intimate scale, plus there are no incessant helicopters or mule feces.

The view of the river is so majestic, both during the day and the night! For women, the traditional attire rental is something everyone should try. The booking for Hanfu and Mao clothing are not available online though, but its everywhere once you are in the town.

Although large population, residents are provincial. Lacks the charm of other cities. Entry into downtown area nearly impossible. Traffic unbelievable. Only one entry into main area. Left earlier than anticipated because of the nature of the city. Couldn't be bothered to see more.
