Beautiful location, only 6 rooms so staying overnight was a once in a lifetime experience. Food was great. The room was amazing, with an outdoor shower. We woke up and swam on the sea watching the sunrise and had the beach club to ourselves after 4pm. Highly recommend staying overnight. The staff were great, very attentive, especially Yuri, who was the best!

An unforgettable experience! From the moment we stepped onto the speedboat to the island, we were taken care of. Everything was flawless – the staff, the food, the accommodation, the breathtaking views and sunsets. I couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Having unlimited Coronas, plus free access to snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding made it even more fun to enjoy the beach. We also spotted so many amazing animals and birds.     We stayed at this hotel for the last part of our trip in Colombia and we are grateful for every minute of it. The island is paradise, with big palm trees and crystal clear water. The staff at the hotel was amazing with us, they took the time to greet us and they were very welcoming of our 3 years old who could freely discover all their kids games. We chose the bungalow deluxe and we woke up every morning with a breathtaking view, the room was also spacious and we loved the open air bathroom concept ! The food at the restaurant was nice and the breakfast buffet was full and varied ( be mindful that you are on an island so the menu is well thought to minimize any waste). We felt safe and very well taking cared of. We would come back anytime, one of the best memories of our trip.

    Complete disconnect from the world. Little piece of Paradise in the middle of the ocean. Perfect for relaxing and procrastinating. The staff (especially Ingrid) and service are just great. The food is amazing with a lot of local options that we loved. The setting is beautiful, amazing views and very private. No music, very premium environment. Our room was right on the sea, we woke up with the sun every morning. There were several activities available and we chose the night snorkelling. We had a magical moment swimming in the mangroves at night with the fluorescent phytoplankton (organised by Mucura travel). An experience to remember.

    We really liked the location and the place. It's perfect to calm down from the stressful life in Cartagena. The food was simple but really good. It was very easy to get in connection with other travellers - like a little family. The sunsets every evening were amazing! The owner explanes a lot of the history of this island - but he only speaks spanish (and the rest of the staff too) that made the communication a little bit difficult. They offer tours directly from the hotel - they are great but also only spanish. We had great, calming days at Dahlandia!

    Everything!!! Our stay at the hotel was worth every minute, from the boat ride from the dock to our return. The rooms are super spacious and comfortable, the staff is super friendly, the food is very typical and delicious. If you are looking for a place to really disconnect, relax in front of the beach and enjoy the advantages of being on an island, Islas del Encanto is the place.     The staff of this hotel was really exeptional. Attentive and of great service. You have local fishermen selling you lobsters which you can buy directly from them and then you only pay the hotel 50K pesos to cook it for you. We tried it over dinner one day and it was delicious! Food and drinks were reasonably priced and no more expensive than Cartagena. Room was comfortable and breezy with ceiling fans. Overal a great experience.

    Loved how you could walk one side of the island from our accommodation. Plenty of activities on option if you choose. We ate at the hotel as good menu and convenient. Lovely outdoor restaurant with food cooked as ordered. One warning about the boat trip back you get wet!! so does your luggage.

    You can’t beat the price & the beach is beautiful.

    You can’t beat the price & the beach is beautiful. The people were great & friendly. However I would bring mosquito spray & ear plugs bc if you get the room next to a generator it will drive you crazy. The best room is with the balcony so you could enjoy the sound of the waves & beautiful view, it’s definitely worth the extra money. Food & drinks were good. Take the taxi & boat suggested.

    The staff, location and room were excellent. Staff went out of the way to help and guide. We booked a car through the hotel for pickup and drop off to Cartagena and the car service (Carlos the driver was awesome and very helpful and punctual). We had a medical emergency and the staff were super helpful to guide and help arrange transportation to the nearest city. Highly recommend. Water pressure at the hotel at times can be an issue (beyond the control of the property), which is to be expected. The staff informed us of low water pressure times and were very helpful in providing a bucket to store water for shower if needed during low pressure times.

    Hotels are pretty isolated, so you may not go to another restaurant in case you don't like yours. The beach on the 'more popular' part are facing the industry harbour and the rafinery, which impede the experience.

    Keep in mind that not all hotels have beaches, even though they do have access to the sea. Also remember that walking from one place of the island to another is not possible due to the mangrove, so most of the time you will need to take a boat, which usually is provided by the hotel at a cost. This is a place to relax under the sun, swim in the sea, eat delicious food, and do some low intensity activities like paddle board or snorkeling. It is not a place to explore the surroundings, have long hikes, or party

    This place is paradise!!! The resort has been developed in a very natural way, we felt we had plenty of privacy and space around us. The food could be improved a little but overall the experience was great. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable! Isla Mucura is the perfect place to relax! Get the elevated kiosk room if you want a bit of extra fun and uniqueness

    Sunsets are amazing. The sea is BLUE blue, and the reef is a swim away to explore. Very small island, to explore through day and night nature activities. Bring nug spray and bug bite gel. You will need it but you are on a tropical island so to be expected. Would have spent one less day there and one more in the Old Town area of Cartagena

    Baru is not a lonely remote place where you will enjoy peace...

    Baru is not a lonely remote place where you will enjoy peace and quiet. Hotels and lodges are literally next to each other. There are many people. When swimming, be careful of boats and jet skis that drive here and there very close to the shore. But the sun and the sea make all that unimportant. There are also various excursion options.

    great little hotels and restaurants in the area but too many hawkers selling you stuff. Be careful with your personal items. Bring your own towels. Sunset beach restaurant had nice cabana types to relax and consume.

    Tierra Bomba was a short 10-minute boat ride from Cartegena.

    Tierra Bomba was a short 10-minute boat ride from Cartegena. It was situated on a long private beach with plenty of daybeds to choose from. The rooms were spacious and close to the pool/beach/restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious. On our final night, we upgraded to the Private Villa with a Private pool and it was WELL WORTH IT! The private courtyard was beautiful and the pool was refreshing. The room was huge, comfortable and came with an outdoor bathroom.
