This place was an absolute gem! Located on a serene island, you’re surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking views of the river. We stayed in a river view room, with a farm right in front of our window. Waking up to the view in the morning was truly a gift. The rooms are a beautiful homage to local Nubian heritage, with charming architectural and design touches that make you feel like you're staying in a traditional Nubian home. Yet, you also have all the comforts of a clean, well maintained air-conditioned room, which was such a perfect balance. The owner goes above and beyond to ensure that guests experience the local culture in an authentic way. It’s perfect for travelers who want to embrace the slow life and connect with the area’s heritage. He was incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout our stay. Even before we arrived, he kept in touch and responded promptly to any questions we had about our booking or itinerary. He even provided us with an incredibly detailed and helpful list of dos and don’ts, along with travel suggestions for Luxor, Cairo, and Aswan! There are many activities and day trips to historical sights provided by the hotel as well, and we always felt like we were in good hands here. As a passionate traveler himself, you can tell he truly cares about giving his guests an unforgettable, authentic experience. One of the highlights of our stay was taking a refreshing dip in the Nile. It was incredibly relaxing, after a busy week full of walking around and traveling. Our favorite part of the stay was meeting the warm and welcoming locals. The owner took us to a local village on another island, where we had the chance to see traditional Nubian houses. The local kids were playing and running around outside, and it was a truly heartwarming experience to interact with them. They also have an adorable dog, Zazu, who will greet you with endless love and affection the moment you arrive! We already miss him so much!!

Nile and temple view was wonderful , decoration room was perfect. Staff was great the service was the best in Egypt,specialy Taha was a great and helpful man,also his manager they were always smilling. food was great , the head chef asked for our opinion after each meal. Opal was one, if not the, best hotels we used. amazing location, directly on the shore of the Nile, with a lovely restaurant Terrance on its shore. the hotel itself is on a very attractive tourist friendly strip on Aswan. Super clean and very well kept, while maintaining its Nubian character. very comfortable. The staff are absolutely amazing, and I can sincerely call them friends after the very pleasant and generous hospitality they shown us. They went way above duty to keep us comfortable happy. Very helpful. I honestly can not commend highly enough. I rarely go online to rate places, but I felt obliged for Opal Hotel family. Keep up the good work guys.

Wonderful quiet location high up above the town of Aswan with amazing view. Our rooms were in the ground floor with wide terraces and comfy outdoor seating. There was a small pool beside our room which was so refreshing with fluffy towels and sun loungers. The rooms were spacious modern and clean with crisp bed linen, small seating area. Bottles of water provided and plates of fruit and sweet treats refreshed daily. There was a small bar area which served beer, wine etc. Staff were really excellent. An early start one morning we were given breakfast boxes, all ready when we arrived at reception. It was great value for money for2 rooms B&B for 2 nights. Loved it and highly recommend this hotel.
