Just perfect. Very calm place in the middle of a very local village and neighbourhood. Not touristy at all, and hard to believe the hustle and bustle of Luxor is actually very close, on the other side of the river. Super quiet (so rare to hear birds singing in Egypt). Really lovely courtyard. Perfect place to hang out and chat with the friendly owner. Excellent and filling breakfast. Perfect location. Many sights within walking distance, the rest can be visited on bicycle.

The hotel is very convenient to visiting Luxor, it is in great location on a quiet street. It is on the West bank of the Nile, very close to the main attractions, but East bank is also accessible easily by the ferry. Our room was very comfortable, staff very friendly and we had amazing food both for breakfast and dinner. I would recommend.

One of the best hotels we have stayed at. Nothing was a problem, rooms are huge, facilities and gardens excellent.

Out of our six nights in Luxor, we spent two nights here. Sadly, this hotel cannot compete with Iberotel's substantial discount at that time in terms of value. Nonetheless, still highly recommended! The main draws for staying here are (1) the landmarks' close proximity—four of them are only a short stroll away(if you like walking like us). When we stepped outside at 5:30 a.m., we saw the balloons being inflated between the fields across the street. We then strolled to the Monuments of Memnon and discovered ourselves alone admiring the statue with the balloons—it was breathtaking. Walking on the West Bank is more pleasurable and hustle-free, in our experience. (2) The owner of this locally owned business is a fantastic host. When you need help, he's there. The nicest aspect is that you don't waste time haggling—the quoted price for the taxi is almost the same as what we were able to negotiate while we were staying on the east bank. We’ve been the other hotels and their tour price are inflated. We had trouble arranging the train to Aswan online on our final night. He tried hard to helped us obtain a ticket but was unsuccessful. He then advised us to simply arrive early enough so that we can perhaps find a seat. The following day, a packed breakfast was provided and surprised us by driving us to the boat dock himself. You can walk between Luxor temple and Karnak temple via avenue of the sphinx and there’s ticket counter and check on the way closer to Karnak.

We had an excellent stay at Al Wadi. It’s a very nice boutique hotel with all the needed amenities in the room and more than enough space to enjoy around the hotel. Mohamed is a great on site concierge, that can assist with any need you may have. We really enjoyed the on site massages and private chef dinner that we were able to setup through Mohamed. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Definitely recommend.

Great location, lovely staff, excellent breakfast and nice big, clean rooms with lovely views!

Excellent choise for people who like to stay away from the noise of the city in the evening. Great view overlooking Habu temple, a genuine highlight on the west bank neglected by the big travel companies. Great night sky. Even dinner served in house on demand. Very kind reception by the hosts. Hotel frequented by archeologists.

Pharaoh's Hotel was absolutely lovely. The owner Refaet was such an amazing host. He was very attentive and can organise anything you like. The location is right across from the Valley of the Queen's and Worker's. The food was excellent and absolutely generous portions. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe and had a great time. In winter it is cold at night so just ask for extra blankets. The water in my room was hot and I had plenty of shower time before it started cooling down. The view from the rooftop is breath taking too! Don't let the out of the way location deter you, this is a great hotel!
