A firm favourite with sun-seekers, Majorca (or Mallorca) is the largest Balearic Island. The enchanting capital Palma has a grand cathedral overlooking the harbour, a 14th-century castle and Arab baths, to name just a few highlights. Nearby is Palma Nova, home to lots of Majorca hotels on the beach within easy reach of the fantastic nightlife in Magaluf. Further along are calmer Santa Ponsa and Port d’Andratx. In the opposite direction, S’Arenal has a fantastic, palm-lined beach and quick airport transfers. North of the island is UNESCO World Heritage-listed Serra de Tramuntana whose mountain lakes are absolutely beautiful. A trip to its highest peak – Puig Major – offers wonderful views. Down below is Port de Soller, a lovely town with some excellent Majorca hotels for families. Other popular family resorts are Alcudia with its long sandy beach, and neighbouring Port de Pollenca. Ruins of the Roman town of Pollentia are nearby. In the east Cala Ratjada benefits from 2 beautiful coastlines, while the beaches at Cala Bona and Cala Millor certainly live up to their names – Good and Best. Cala d’Or (Golden Cove) is another aptly named resort: its golden, sandy beach is nestled between rocks lapped by turquoise waters.     A wonderful hotel, but it turned out not to be ready for force majeure. Hey dear, are you kidding. All rooms 5star hotel were first day without water......The problem hotel is top managment and some person from reception. They are so self-confident that they don't even offer a free transfer when booking through booking, and the real price of the transfer is not expensive. But it would be a very nice bonus even for the high cost of living. Although lower cost hotels offer it. Yes, indeed, they could not fully provide the service according to the description, and you can understand people's indignation. Even when they already knew about the water problem, they silently checked in the guest rooms without any warning. They did not act in anticipation. And this is their biggest mistake. And if it happened in the summer??? In my case, only at my request was I given an additional substantial discount for extra services, including restaurant services. The breakfast was good, the rooms were nice, the bed was super comfortable and the towels were soft. An incredible view of the sea, a terrace and Cava for breakfast, that's what stopped me from arguing too much with them. The staff (reception)began to fulfill their direct duty, to be nice to the guests, only when they were made remarks and a conflict situation almost started. Even then they were very polite and extraordinary. Room cleaning is also at a high level, but does not reach 5*. I give a good rating only for perfect staff in restaurant and cleanservice, but with a description of the nuances.

    Perfect value for money. It's 15 min walk to the centre but the best thing is that it has a parking 3 min walk from the hotel that costs only 6E per night that was the cheapest I found for our stay and it's very comfortable to use. As we rented a car so that we can travel around the island and it was difficult to find good hotel with parking that close and at that price. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly.

    Playa de Palma is beautiful with a beautiful beach and many places to find a drink or meal. The only major drawback is that the hotel feels more like a “mini Germany,” since it’s a very popular holiday spot for German travelers. If you’re hoping for something that feels more local, just keep that in mind.

    I had three days of holiday, and I just wanted to go to the warm sea and take my child to the water park. That's why I chose El Arenal, because it's quite close to the airport and the water park, and I didn't have to waste time travelling. The main advantage of the city is, of course, the sea. But you have to be very careful here. I saw local thieves trying to steal things from holidaymakers at the sea or goods from shops more than once. Another unpleasant thing was that there was a persistent smell of urine in the narrow streets near the promenade, even though the streets were washed by the owners of shops and cafes. But this is most likely the fault of tourists who walked around at night.

    Magaluf is a great destination for those who enjoy nightlife and clubbing – there are plenty of bars and clubs to choose from, offering something for everyone. You'll also find large supermarkets and a wide variety of good restaurants. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for a romantic getaway, as it's more lively and party-oriented. It’s a convenient base for exploring the southern part of Mallorca and is close to Palma. Renting a car on the island is easy and can be done at affordable prices.

    Typical Spanish tourist town. Plenty of good bars and restaurants, some with live music. Would of like it to be a bit more boutique'y and a little less Spanish/British bucket and spade. So not a lot to see, unless you like these very typical Spanish beach resorts. But overall good for a short break.

    Can Pastilla is a very peaceful town with a large, beautiful beach and many great places to walk. The promenade to Palma is perfect for running. Unlike Palma, it’s quiet and relaxing, with excellent restaurants. Highly recommended!

    The staff were lovely, hotel clean.

    The staff were lovely, hotel clean. You had to pay for the safe in your room . We were half board , breakfast ok , evening meals were cold and under cooked even though the food was on a hot plate ! Lots of complaints about the food from other guests and like us we ended up eating out !! Holiday was not cheap

    Cala dor is a beautiful place with so many beautiful cove beaches Esmeralda very pretty It’s such a safe place everyone is chilled out and relaxed just such a lovely atmosphere everywhere Marina is stunning and beautiful foid our favourite was portofina restaurant staff are very friendly and food is lovely we found marina cheaper to eat than the square as well Maddison’s bar nice atmosphere in the evenings Everything is in walking distance square and marina 5 min walk apart from each other there are lots of hotels in Cala dor situated around the square Just loved Cala dor and will def go back

    The area was lively yet peaceful enough to relax.

    The area was lively yet peaceful enough to relax. There were restaurants and parties in the evenings, but it never felt overcrowded – just the right number of people. The scenery was truly breathtaking.

    We didn’t realise before we booked that Santa Ponsa is...

    We didn’t realise before we booked that Santa Ponsa is popular with groups of boys and girls on party holidays. It’s such a short trip to Magaluf that they seem to stay in Santa Ponsa and get a cab into Magaluf. Because of this a lot of bars are very busy and geared towards groups of young lads/girls. We didn’t find it a major issue however one to bear in mind for a family holiday.
