Clean, nice rooms. Actually hot pools at the spa - quite a rare thing in Finland! Great breakfast. You can wash your clothes if you need to. Nice exercise room and gym. Came here during our biking / camping trip during a rainy day and it was wonderful. Nice, a bit retro place.

Delightful boutique hotel, we stayed in the old building. Fabulously located in the harbour. Room full of charm, beds truly comfortable and large. Breakfast one of the nicest we have had with lot of of choice. Morning sauna a good start for the day. Staff friendly and helpful.

the accommodation was lovely and calm! the location by the lake and the personal, friendly approach of the owner is just great; morning swimming was great even though pretty refreshing :) moreover, you can enjoy and buy their local delicacies including smoked salmon, salmon fish cakes, etc., we also ordered the breakfast which is fully local too (including the smoked fish, home baked bread, oat porridge, etc.); parking is just at the accommodation

The villa was beautiful - featuring a fresh interior with timeless design, and a well equipped kitchen. The location next to the river is perfect, but I would not come here without a car. Also, nice biking routes nearby.

I generally know and like Lappeenranta - it is a nice town to stay in and to both work and enjoy. Located in the beautiful Finnish nature and at the coas of Saimaa lake. Moreover, the place is good as a base for journeys to the nearby attractions as well as e.g. for shopping.

Luumäki is a sweet little town with everything you need to have a good time. You find a hotel (Hotelli Salpa) which has an included restaurant and a nice view over the lake, you have a restaurant (Kahvi Pakari), which has good food for good prices or you buy your groceries in the local store (Sale) and stay at a rented apartment. If this doesn´t tickle your fancy, you can drive to the next village (Taavetti), which is only 15km away. There you find everything you have in Luumäki, only bigger and in larger numbers. If you like to take walks or bicycle / skiing tours in the countryside, this is a great place to do so.

This is an amazing place.

This is an amazing place. Acomodation was simply great for families with children and even couple or group of friends. Host was extremely helpful and very responsive to help and guide. House was very neat and tidy and best of all just few meters away from lake, view was breathtaking. Recommend friends and family.

In Lappeenranta, we particularly liked the harbor and the fortress. Otherwise, we mainly used the city as a starting point for trips and hikes along the shores of Lake Saimaa. Lappeenranta is ideally located for this. The environment is really beautiful.

The best in Imatra are the wonderful sand beaches and the lakes. It is EASY to get there if you have a car. The best place to eat is the Buttenhoff restaurant in the center. We also had a lunch in a nice restaurant/ Café Sula right next to the river Vuoksi. Unfortunately Imatra is suffering from lack of tourists and many shops in the center are empty, if people could put their art /photos on the windows the center would be nicer. The waterfall was a powerfull attraction especially in the evening. I would go next time again to the very special Veteran museum opposite the Valtionhotelli .

There is something magical about Lappeenranta.

There is something magical about Lappeenranta. Such a beautiful place to spend summer. So much to do and see, yummy Finnish foods from the satama, loved the sandcastle sculptures. E-scooter rides were great fun and a visit to the market for fresh strawberries and peas is a must.
