It faces the Kemijoki River, so we could watch the sunrises from the window. I was worried that it would be cold inside since we went at a time of year when Rovaniemi is quite cold, but there was no reason to worry, the house was really very warm. The bathroom even has underfloor heating. The cottage has everything you need. The kitchen is well equipped. Parking is right next to the house. There is a sauna by the river that can be used every day, you just need to make an appointment. It is so beautiful, cosy, authentic. Super warm inside we also had sauna in our chalet, great location, close to the main attractions like Santa Village and Santa Park, airport, supermarkets and the city of Rovaniemi. There were also ski slopes close to the chalets and plenty of places to go sledging with the kids which they loved the most. Very great surroundings also for walks. Summer trip to Rovaniemi: Lapland was in a heat wave which held us back a bit as it was rather humid. We enjoyed Arktikum very much, went swimming in the river, walked in the Arctic Gardens and explored the town centre. We planned some hiking but it was hotter than we expected.
