- From US$509 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 34 reviews1-They treated us as real guests ! They never ask for credit cards to block our money, or pay deposit, although , we had our dinner in the 3 stars Mechlin restaurant and the cost was over 600 €, no one asks us to sign anything, all was charged to the room, professional staff, they spot what you like and what you don’t, like our drinks on the breakfast for the next day, they pay attention for the details. 2- They granted us gifts, desserts, cakes, with a nice message left on the table informing us that there is a gift for us in the mini bar. 3- so friendly staff, we love everything from the moment we checked in, to the moment we check out, also a gift from the garden upon our check out. Amazing hotel, last but not least the location was wonderful, our room was Mountain View, Definitely would come back againGuest review byAhmadKuwait
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 222 reviewsQuiet, clean, luxurious true 5* hotel in Megeve. Close to the village centre but enough outside to be quiet. We stayed for a week with half board - both breakfast and dinner were every time full marks. Cannot find anything to fault with this lovely hotel but what really made it stand out to other 5* hotels -around the world really - was amazingly friendly, helpful and professional staff. Made us feel so welcomed. Couldn’t recommend this place more.Guest review byKatiFinland

Very easy to walk into Evian les bains which has a Fri market, lots of shops and resturants. If you have a car it's a short drive to chateau Chillon, Yvoire and Morzine and the Gorges de Diable. Lovely and warm room with a well equipped kitchen area.. There is a large room with a few pieces of gym equipment which we used for pilates. Nice clean pool. You could pre book a set 3 course meal for 16 euros.Guest review byClaireUnited Kingdom

Gorgeous gem of a place - medieval streets of great character with flowing streams between. The newer parts of town are handsome; there is little motor traffic and everything is well kept. Defo a safe place to be. If you enjoy cycling, Annecy is a cycling town with lots of young children, or deliveries, conveyed by bike. In this respect it’s what every town should aim for. The lake is a wonder: tall, jagged cream coloured mountains behindsun dappled water. The cycle route around it is easy and has several ‘velo cafes’ alongside to restore your energy! (The town contains numerous bike hire shops.) The lake has several swimming places (and a beach at St Jorioz). We visited in perfect weather in mid September and we were surprised at just how busy the old town had become. Definitely a honey trap kind of place.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Chamonix was a nice mountain town, with a pleasant dining district. We found it to be very pedestrian-friendly. We enjoyed the walking paths that lead up and down the valley. We could have used a little more information or maps about the hiking just outside the town.Guest review byRussell - 10.0
Beautiful city with mountains all around.
Beautiful city with mountains all around. Generally people look healthy out and about running or on their bikes and there is an obvious commitment to environmental issues. The museum is the best art gallery I have ever been to! Easy city to be out and about in with so many inviting cafes and bars and spectacular views from the telegraphiqueGuest review bykatieUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Interesting town with cultural heritage.
Interesting town with cultural heritage. I was just passing through en route from Italy to London but it is a perfect stopover for one night. Unfortunately I was there on a Monday, when some attractions eg the castle are closed but I did visit the cathedral. There are many restaurants which sell local produce.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Aix-les-Bains is a very pleasant town on the shores of the biggest lake in France: Lake Bouget. There are lots of restaurants and places to visit including a Casino, mountains and water sports. If you can, we recommend you try the boat cruse around the lake and include a meal on board.Guest review byBarryUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Amazing location.
Amazing location. The owners and staff were friendly, professional, and answered all our questions. The bar was great, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we've had. I hope we can go back to Briancon in the near future because it's so beautiful, and we'll certainly stay here.Guest review byJBDRHDUnited States - 10.0

We were on a mission to revisit Parc de Merlet with our grandaughter thirty-six years after we took her mother. The Parc delivered, with Chamois, Mouflon and Marmots to enjoy. The views from accommodation on that side of the valley are the best in the valley. In Les Houches village, the local patisserie was visited and a different cake enjoyed every day. There were plenty of paths (including Tour de Mont Blanc) into the forest, for walks from the chalet. Wonderful Alpine wildlife is easy to find. It was convenient to take the free train into Chamonix and take a ride to Le Brevent then walk the ridge and back to the chalet. We did the Mer de Glas, to from Chamonix. We went up to Bellevue on the teleferique and walked across the alp, finding several wild flowers and even a rare Wart-Biter Grasshopper! We then took the Tramway du Mont Blanc down to Saint-Gervais-Les-Bains and had a lovely afternoon in the beautiful park. There was a very tough Via Ferrata for the over 70s (with 50 years experience) and a Go Ape-type circuit with a rock-climb included in the trail for the 10-year-old and her Mamma, then train back to Les Houches. One weekend evening was lively down in the village, but up on the hill we could sit out in relative calm and stare at the sunset on snowy Mont Blanc, stars and the torch-lights of mountaineers picking their way down. All-in-all, very relaxing.Guest review byValerie - 6.0
Evian-les-Bains in June, during what should be peak tourist...
Evian-les-Bains in June, during what should be peak tourist season, felt unexpectedly lifeless. Many stores appeared permanently closed, and the town lacked any real atmosphere after early evening—by 10pm, only the casino restaurant was still serving food. This left few options for late dining or entertainment. Given these circumstances and the general sense of a closed-up town, I would not recommend visiting Evian-les-Bains, especially if you're expecting a lively lakeside resort experience. While some guides and official tourism pages highlight Evian's attractive lakefront, Belle Époque architecture, and potential activities along the lake and nearby outdoors, recent firsthand accounts confirm a lack of vibrancy and operational businesses, even in traditionally busy months. For travelers who prioritize a bustling atmosphere and broad dining options long into the evening, it may be better to look elsewhere.Guest review byRudyKUnited States - 10.0

Nice lake front with port/marina. There's a steep climb up to the town from the water with a funicular railway (summer only?). Lots of places to eat plus takeaways and supermarket in easy walking distance of town centre.Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The hotel’s location was convenient because it was close to the tram station for Mont Blanc. We could enjoy the relaxing private jacuzzi as it is reserved. There is an elevator (or cable car) for 200m to reach the thermal spa facility at the foot of the mountainGuest review byGucciFrance
