    We were given a very warm welcome by the lovely Karina on Reception. Everything was ready for us and Karina explained everything we needed to know. Every staff member we encountered was extremely warm and welcoming, including the cleaner we bumped into on the way to our room. The family room was perfect for a family of 5 and the view was amazing (room 306). The bed was one of the most comfortable I have stayed in and everything was perfectly clean. We will definitely return again! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

    We stayed in a hotel within the walls and that was lovely (...

    We stayed in a hotel within the walls and that was lovely (Auberge des Lices) and we visited the old town as well as the city. So much to see and do! This was our second visit and we were not disappointed (other than the note below). A slight caveat as one of party was disabled is that the walled City is not particularly disabled friendly. Those who stay in the other lovely hotels are afforded luggage transfer but those less fortunate with mobilty have to struggle waith bags and have to be able to walk quite a few hundred metres to get to a gate other than the main entrance which is the nearest to the Cite car parks. A golf cart type facility would I am sure assist even if there was a charge... Just saying :-)

    It is a little town with just one attraction as the Barbarosa fortress and the church next to it. And the greatest appeal is Pierre Richard winery 10 minutes away by car. But I absolutely fell in love with the town market, foods, wine and people. Real feeling of how perfect an ordinary town life can be, like a French film became the reality.

    Castelaundry is in the heart of Cassoulet country…we had some fabulous meals in local restaurants. It is also a stepping off point for boats on the MIDI canal. You can walk or bicycle along the paths beside the canal and watch the locks operating. Great place to visit and interesting villages nearby.

    Very nice little town, the locals were friendly. It was not overrun with people, the beach being very broad and very well.maintained. we enjoyed that it was sandy and clean. The infrastructure was excellent and we loved the environmental awareness in the area. We visited several local restaurants and enjoyed them all, lots of very good seafood. Narbonne city was very scenic and beautiful, colorful and quaint.
