- From US$245.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 731 reviewsEverything! The building is very beautiful and romantic. In low season we could easily find a free park spot in front of the hotel (please note free parking is only available in winter up to - I guess - April 1st? I guess parking in high season can be quite challenging in the village centre). Hotel is situation at a great central location. Lovely bar that stayed open until we were done. Bar does have food menu, with easy dishes. Restaurant is there too, but we didn’t tried it. (Btw the pub had non-alcoholic beers which so far appears to be quite scare in most France restaurants, so that was nice). Also the swimming pool / spa area was quiet and the pool jacuzzi area is basically open the entire day from 8am to 9pm. Length is I guess 12m pool. It’s a great pool for a tiny exercise after being in the car the entire day. Spa area has different hours, but we didn’t try it.Guest review bySijandaNetherlands
- From US$120.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 282 reviewsThe hosts are just the nicest people. There are so many other positive things I could say—I’ll highlight some here: The owners have an electric car charging station with better rates than I’ve seen elsewhere. The pool is glorious. The professionalism of staff exceeded expectations—staff were attentive to your needs (and thoughtful) without being overbearing. The breakfast room’s wallpaper and decor was so beautiful—like a scene out of a magazine. The patio to our room offered a lovely private escape in the shade with lounge chairs for both sitting on lying down. Super short walk to restaurants, but our best restaurant experience was actually at the hotel! No matter if you’re used to super high end hotels or just want a homey low key experience, this hotel has a magical way of being perfect for anyone. I just love this place.Guest review byErikaBelgium
- From US$100.06 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 109 reviewsWe had a truly amazing stay. We stayed in one of the houses (Dorioterie) and time flew by. It was spacious, clean, modern and perfect to go with a family of 6 people. Having a private pool was also such a luxury. Every room has its own bathroom, so there’s still a lot of privacy even when you’re with a bigger group. The estate itself is so beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed an evening walk every evening, and every morning a golf session. For every interest there is something to enjoy. We were blown away by the estate, the house, the area and the services/facilities of the domain. We will be back again!Guest review byMichelleNetherlands
- From US$110.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 850 reviewsThe location is good. Some of the sites and museums are within walking distance. Easy walking. It takes time walking from the train station to get to the location because out of season there isn't bus service, and taxis are hard to get. The employees and receptionist are helpful and kind. They agreed to look after my luggage untill the time of my train. It is a 5 - 10 minute walk from a supermarket and petrol station for those who need it. There is a good size rack to dry washed clothes. They have washing machines on the premises to use with payment by credit cards.Guest review byJudith CelinaFrance
- From US$108.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 147 reviewsWhilst the Hotel is in two parts, the breakfast taken by the pool area and dinner in the main building, so there is a short walk between the two, choose what rooms you book. Best part was the staff, both reception and waiting staff, the grounds and peacefulness of the village and area. BUT the chef is exceptional, we ate both a la carte and demi pension and the choice and quality of the food was superb.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom
- From US$228.38 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 188 reviewsEverything about Chateau des Vigiers was perfect. All the staff we encountered were extremely professional and helpful. It's a beautiful place with comfortable good sized room. Eating in Les Fresques was an incredible exclusive. But the Bistro also served really good food with staff in both radians restaurants going out of their way to look after you. Will definitely try to return!Guest review byNathanielAustralia

This is one of our favourite places that we stayed on our holiday (and there were many of them!) Our treehouse was quiet, very well appointed and spotlessly clean. One has to experience the beauty and wonder of the Dordogne region to understand why I will return for a longer visit. Words can’t convey the experience of the nexus of prehistory, medieval history, French Resistance history and stunning scenic beauty.Guest review byNancyUnited States - 8.0
Great base for exploring the Dordogne area.
Great base for exploring the Dordogne area. Train and bus facilities enable public travel over a large space but a car can give more freedom. The restaurants were in good supply and we found most excellent quality and value. Easy to get around the town and people are friendly and helpful. As with lots of France not overly dominated by tourists and the tradtional settings offer much to be admired and visited.Guest review byroddyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Boulazac has commercial trading estates which are useful for accessing supermarkets and petrol stations but not for tourists unless the accommodation is found on the outskirts where there are quiet and tranquil residential areas and semi-rural locations to be enjoyed. It is, however, very close to Perigueux with its tourist attractions and gastronomic cuisine. It is also well placed for visiting the Dordogne and all of its attractions by car.Guest review byLeslieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

You need a car, but parking isn‘t easy. Unfortunately, I wasn‘t prepared, so I had to scout things out. Because my days were filled, I often left too early or came back too late to enjoy all the opportunities available.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

One of the prettiest places I have visited. It looks like it came out of a fairytale. It was wonderful to walk around the village because everything look so pretty. It’s perfect for slow traveling. The products there didn’t seem overpriced, so we bought a lot of nice souvenirs.Guest review byBellaPhilippines - 10.0

This touristy village is a great base for a holiday in the Dordogne area of France. It's the world centre of prehistory, complete with the excellent National Museum of Prehistory and loads of caves and rock shelters nearby. The incredible cave paintings at Lascaux and the medieval town of Sarlat (amazing market on Saturday mornings) are a short drive away. There are loads of great restaurants in the village, and also a weekly evening food market on Fridays in the summer, with fabulous food stalls (top-quality take away dinner!). We didn't have a car during our holiday - we travelled there and back to Les Eyzies by train, and made full use of the local bus services 337 and 339 which run a very cheap summer service for tourists to Sarlat and Lascaux. Canoeing on the River Vezere is a must - we used Canoe 24, a 5-minute walk from our hotel.Guest review byDianaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
