This town is a gem - the real France and away from the tourist beat. Its cathedral is unique and exceptionally old. A little French is a help here. Very good and inexpensive restaurants. Take the Little tour train for a great orientation.Guest review byTarr-Whelan - 10.0

Excellent Michelin restaurant Beau Site offered juicy lamb cut for Euro 34 and cod loin for euro 19. Service was also first class, balcony view was to die for. This is a pilgrim site where the priest will give stamp for pilgrims who have walked the Santiago de Compostela. There is also the stations of the cross on the mountain behindGuest review byPang - 10.0
Where we stayed was a restored castle.
Where we stayed was a restored castle. It was wonderful inside. The staff were very helpful. The part of town we stayed in was quaint and very walkable. I would have loved to stay longer. We ate at a small Crepery that was right around the corner. You have to be there early and make reservations. We did it online and almost didn't get in. The food was good.Guest review byBrendaUnited States - 10.0

Beautiful room and terrace opening on to vineyard, with view across to Saint Cirq la Popie. Perfect 4 day stay spent relaxing by the pool, in the vineyard, or day tripping. Great breakfast on terrace, and superb restaurant 100m down the road. Would go back anytime - can't recommend this place highly enough.Guest review byanthonyAustralia - 6.0
We visited Gramat in the spring and the weather was dull.
We visited Gramat in the spring and the weather was dull. The town appeared run down in areas with not much going for it. There were some good restaurants. The animal park is worth a visit. The aqua park didn’t have clear information about opening times. Close enough for other attractions and towns to visit. Rocamadour is close by. Plage de Gluges 15/20 minutes. Carannac Aventure for canoë and paddle board hire with a lovely crazy golf and snack bar 20 minutes.Guest review bySACUnited Kingdom - 10.0

An interesting little castle in a peaceful little village with stylish rooms to discover when walking around the place. A very nice swimming pool with great view. Great dinner terrace with a view and a very castle style breakfast room. Modern cuisine with unique dishes for dinner and a buffer breakfast. Spacious and very quiet room on 2 levels with stylish castle decor and a nice bathroom. Very welcoming host.Guest review byMARKUnited States - 10.0
Martel was the perfect spot to visit the Dordogne Valley.
Martel was the perfect spot to visit the Dordogne Valley. It combines beauty with services such as supermarket, local markets, the best bakery in the lot!, night entertainment… it small, picturesque, charming but still practical and vibrant on some evenings or market days.Guest review byBelindaNetherlands - 8.0
Cahors is a nice little city.
Cahors is a nice little city. There isn't much spectacular to see or do, but it kept me busy for a day. The medieval bridge is nice, the cathedral was worth a visit, and it's nice to walk next to the river that encircles the city. Keep in mind, on Sundays, nearly everything is closed. Even finding a restaurant for dinner was a struggle. I wonder if the locals even eat on a Sunday...Guest review byPeterBelgium - 10.0
One of the most visited places in France and rightly so.
One of the most visited places in France and rightly so. Try to pick your dates slightly out of season if you can as 1.5 million visitors come to this little town. The Chateau has amazing views, not for those who have a problem with height though. Wonder around the old town and visit the Sanctuary. We stayed one night which was perfect as we saw everything we wanted had a fabulous meal.Guest review byVanessaFrance
