This hotel was outstanding. The views of Mont Saint Michel from the rooms and dining room were incredible. It was the closest hotel to the Mont without staying on the island and was easy to take the shuttle bus over. The rooms were very spacious. The food on site was delicious, the getting the included breakfast was great, lots of selection and very yummy. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Mont Saint Michel.

Very conveniently located on the route del Mont, with both shuttle busses and town busses stopping just outside the property. Duty managers were very helpful, room was in excellent condition and the facilities were superb.

What an amazing place to be! The stuff was more than great, really helpful and so kind.The hotel is very clean at each part of it and my room was big, comfortable with perfect mattress at bed and the most amazing view of Mont Saint Michel from the balcony! Bathroom was big also!This hotel is situated in the best area if you want to visit M.S.M. , free shuttle buses will take you to the island in a few minutes but is also walkable distance.I will totally recommend it and will definitely return! Merci beaucoup pour tous,à bientôt!

    The hosts were fantastic. Breakfast basics provided and some lovely eggs from the free-range chickens who roam the beautiful grounds. The accommodation was superb. The house was tastefully furnished and fully equipped down to the freshly laundered bath robes. The view from the balcony and main bedroom was breathing. The beds were comfy, and the shower catered easily with four adults in succession. The covered area under the house is where we ate most meals. It was nice and cool in the shade, and had that same great view. The addition of deck chairs made it a relaxing place to chill-out with drinks and books. Also had a bbq. The ground level deck had two comfy loungers to lie on and soak in the sun. The village was lovely place for a stroll. It had a great bakery, bar and shop. Everybody was friendly. We used the Le Jardin Des Dunes restaurant a couple of times, which we would recommend.

    Location was amazing with a short walk to and from the train station, supermarkets, shops and more. It’s about 9km to Le mont saint Michel, we chose to rent bicycles for the day that was €20 each. The tent we stayed in was super spacious and had all the cooking equipment you could ask for. The whole property is really well kept after and the facilities are clean and tidy too. Would for sure stay here again!!!

    We were received by the owner who gave us the keys and showed us a booklet prepared with all the recommended sites around as well as places to go grocery shopping. They were very kind and on one of the days we were surprised with a package of freshly made crepes that were deliscious.

    A must-see on the northern Normandy/ Brittany border. Explore the twisty, narrow, steep streets. Step back in time with a visit to the abbey and enjoy delicious seafood- moules frites- overlooking the bay. Highly recommend

    We were not in the centre of Pontorson but in the...

    We were not in the centre of Pontorson but in the countryside about a mile or so towards Mont St Michel. Pontorson had a few places to eat out and we tried a couple and enjoyed them but we found that most opened in the evening for a short time and closed quite early (it was Mid September) which wasn't good if we'd been out for the day and arrived back later. There was a McDonalds as a last resort which we used rather than go without food but we soon learned to find somewhere to eat on the way if we were going to be back late. We can recommend a chain called Del Arte for a nice Italian in Avranches and other places and there is an Indian restaurant (Moonlight) in Dol-de Bretagne where we had a nice meal for a reasonable price. We found most places in Pontorson quite expensive but the food was good. The town was clean and pleasant enough with ample free parking.

    Nice summer town with a lot of shops and restaurants. Beautiful views over the north and south bays from 'the rock' in the harbour. Unfortunately, it took 20 min to walk to the train station and there were no buses there.

    Like us, many visitors probably only stay in Beauvoir to see the Mont Saint-Michel. However, with good accommodation and access to bicycles or a car, we're sure the area is well worth exploring further.

    We arrived by train and took the shuttle bus to the island. From the island it was a bit of a walk (40 mins) with luggage through the fields to reach the hotel. If you're by car/have a bike, this hotel is a good option. If you are - like we were - just walking, it is a bit far to reach the shuttle and restaurants. The hotel itself is nice, pleasant and quiet. Very helpful staff.

    If you want discover the Brittany countryside away from the craw and in a more authentic way of life while being within driving distance of the main attractions like the Mont Saint Michel or saint Malo, then this is an ideal place to stay. It is very quite peaceful and beautiful.

    We arrived in late afternoon at hotel and toured island first in evening hours - great idea as less crowded and still light enough to wander the streets and alleys. Toured the abbey the next morning - around 11. Already getting crowded - should have started earlier. But well organized and flows well within the Abbey. Well worth the visit to see this unique and historic structure - magical.

    In general, the area has many activities. I think you want a day for Mont Saint Michel. You can go hiking, horseback riding, helicopter rides, it's like a zoo. It has many things, I think it took 2-3 days to explore the area.
