The location - the staff - the bedroom - the bathroom were excellent but the meals were outstanding and such good value for money. I wish we lived closer. The restaurant was so comfortable the ambiance delightful and I’m not surprised that so many people were dining there. Well done all

Nice big room with clean facilities and a decent lounge area downstairs. Staff were lovely and very helpful when we turned up a little early. Recommended. No restaurant for evening meal but there is one at their sister hotel, a short walk away.

    A lovely place to spend time near nature. The town was beautiful and there was a market and two boulangeries. We had a lovely cat (spooky) who spent time with us every day! swimming pool nearby was excellent (note that UK style swimming shorts for men are not allowed! must be tight type shorts/Speedos). The owners are lovely and we wish we had spent more time here! Our chalet also had Aircon!

    Eat at La Suite but make a reservation beforehand. The old part of town and the shops are good. it is easy to get around Alencon on foot. We visit often because it is a good stop over on our way further south

    I have been coming to Bagnoles de l'Orne regularly for 13 years as I have been renovating a house in Javrons les Chapelles. I have brought a number of friends to the town and they all have really liked the town.

    Belleme and the surrounding towns are not thriving tourist traps. But the Middle Ages architecture with towers and walls lend a lot of atmosphere. I suspect Parisians have weekenders here because it is away from the rat race.

    I was unfortunately ill during the whol time of our stay, so the only facilities in town that I can recommend for easy access and use are: the pharmacy, the florist and the cashpoint. Parking was free in the centre of town, but I don't know for how long etc.

    This is a really nice town with everything you want.

    This is a really nice town with everything you want. There are some good local shops with very friendly people. There are lots of Antique shops but only seem to open at weekends. Some really good restaurants and bars. The town is a very well kept town with lots of character. It has beautiful countryside within minutes.

    A cold, damp house with no log burner. No gas for cooking so it should not be considered self-catered. We were unable to cook our dinner. It appeared like they were not ready for guests but were happy to accept them. It absolutely should not have been advertised with a log burner or as self catered.

    I was there to go to the cour d'assizes and travel around southern Normandie. The town was extremely walkable with delightful shops and everything you'd expect in a smallish French town. Les Deux Marguerite shares space with the Chateau des Ducs, part of which dates to the 12th century and has a lovely park. Don't forget Pedro's, the chocolate shop and tea shop where I took afternoon tea and met Pedro's wife and business partner, Huguette. Three generations of absolutely delicious chocolate. There's an impressive cathedral, the river Sarthe and La Briante, a delightful stream/brook that runs by the chateau de Ducs and Les Deux Marguerite. I really need to go back there.

    Lovely little town with some great places to eat. Finding breakfast (outside of the hotel) was a challenge. Lovely countryside in the region too. Was a base for us to go to a weekend event about a 30 min drive away so didn't get to see as much of the area as I would have liked. Found an outdoor pool which was great too but remember, no Bermuda style swim shorts or trunks in France, budgie smugglers required! Town also has a casino but we did not try this out.

    There isn’t much open at lunchtime and shops open for a couple of hours in the evening. Not many places to eat so make a reservation and they tend to only open from 7-8.30. Lovely for a stroll around in summer months, not sure what you would do in winter. Crazy golf was fun and the main golf course looked lovely although I don’t play!
