Beautifully relaxing environment, peaceful pool area, attractive surroundings and nicely decorated rooms. We particularly enjoyed the bar service sitting in the shade under the trees, perfect for winding down after a long drive. Amazingly comfortable beds and attentive staff. We liked it so much we booked it again for our return journey.

Consindering previous experience with BB hotel in Compiegne and Kyriad in Vannes, my mindset for this stay was not enthusiastic. How wrong I was! This hotel is extremely tidy - public spaces, bathrooms and rooms are clean and well maintained. Also the Staff, especially the manager at the reception desk was very helpful and he was speaking great English - the thing worth of notice in France. Both mornings during breakfast he proposed us scrambled eggs with bacon and asked if we need some help with anything, we also had a little conversation - great person in my opinion making this place! Consindering the value for money this hotel is great place to stay on your way across France.

    Location in a small village, beautiful historic building. Reception and dining room very well presented. There are two buildings to stay in, we chose the original chateau and the room was on the second floor very nice a few low beams but not an issue. Pool and grounds are well kept, swam outside as it was 32 degrees, there is also an indoor pool. We chose to eat in the restaurant the set menu which was perfect. 4 courses from the menu plus 2 complimentary everyone presented with such detail. Very wide choice of wines and staff very knowledgeable. Had a great nights sleep. Breakfast had a great selection of hot and cold items. Staff extremely pleasant.

    Poitiers was our chosen night stop as we drove North toward St Malo. We were there just for the night and left fairly soon after breakfast. We did manage to walk around the main town area after checking in that evening and it was full of interesting architecture. The main centre is closed to traffic and has many restaurants, cafe's and bars, creating a safe and easy ambiance, which I'm sure we would have enjoyed had more time been available.

    We didn’t explore much outside the Futuroscope, as we spent three full days in the park. However, the town is easy to get around, and having a large Auchan supermarket right next to the park is very practical for visitors.

    Perfect location when travelling from Calais to Spain, easy access from motorway. Very friendly helpful staff, perfect for our dogs, great to find an hotel that both our dogs were allowed to stay in the same room. We had a parking space right outside the room which was also a good point as our car was stacked with our gear.

    The town is nice and sleepy Has main facilities. We drove around to find a bar for a glass of wine but couldn’t find anywhere. It is however about 8 mins drive from major town. Didn’t stay long enough to get to know it.

    On vast manor estate with massive blue cedar trees and other greenery, tranquillity! When I rang to reserve a table for our evening meal the restaurant was fully booked. However reception suggested a restaurant nearby, Bateau Ivre. Very helpful! Wonderful golf course with great practice facilities

    Poitiers has lots of great sights, but way too difficult to find park; Chauvigny at most a one day trip; we did that and used it as a base for visiting several small villages within 20-30 minutes drive, Saint-Savin abbey, **Fortress in Angles sur l'anglin, Benedictine Abbey of Notre Dame

    We went for the track and spent an afternoon on the Lac where they have water sports and a nice little snack on the edge. For food it is a bit tricky during our time there 22-24/08/23 Not much is open there was one restaurant open doing pizza (eat in or takeaway) steak and chips etc not a big menu but at least you can eat something not too for from the track.

    Lovely city, with much of modern and old. Very hilly if you stay out of town. Lots of students, as university town. Lots to explore. Plenty of restaurants, or you can grab a baguette, ice cream, pizza or cookie.

    The hotel was located on Futuroscope with Futuroscope pricing for what was a rather basic hotel. If you are looking for a good value overnight stop-over of reasonable quality during a long journey, you might well be a little disappointed and would do well to avoid the Futuroscope resort area to get better value.
