- From US$166.86 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 139 reviewsVery nice place, the salmon for dinner is very good. BUT BEWARE!! Don't trust Google Maps or Apple Maps: the hotel is 300 meters straight from the port; I was on a bike and had to do the mountain grand prix twice (there and back) because the GPS sends you to the other side of the island, to The Colonsay Apartments, even if it is indicated as The Colonsay Hotel. The photo is what the GPS says, but the hotel is close to the start.Guest review byPaoloItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 176 reviewsIt was our first glamping experience and we loved it. The tiny hut was clean and cozy. The bed was super comfy and warm. We did not need to use the heating, even in October. The hosts were friendly and very helpful in recommending nearby activities. We also really liked the kitchen/common area where we had a chance to interact with the other guests. I would recommend this location and would gladly book it again.Guest review byforsterGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 67 reviewsBeautiful castle stay on a huge estate close to the beach. We were transported back in time while we stayed in the tower apartment of the castle with access to the rooftop overlooking the fields of baby lambs and the ocean. Beds were super comfortable and the view from the bathtub just makes you want to linger longer.Guest review byPaulineCanada

Skye is beautiful but expensive.
Skye is beautiful but expensive. Lodging is hard to find, expensive. Restaurants are crowded. The weather is..the weather. We hit lots of rain. People told us unusually bad for September. But so much to see there.Guest review byRogerUnited States - 8.0

Good location to access the Isle of Skye as well as locations on the mainland. Plenty of eating places within a short drive to suit all tastes. Lots of interesting places to visit and walks for the more energetic.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Broadford is well located to travel across all Skye, but also not too far from the bridge of Skye to reach back to mainland. It has a supermarket and some restaurants. A walk on the shore is beautiful.Guest review bySimoneSwitzerland - 10.0
Beautiful, quiet place with happy people.
Beautiful, quiet place with happy people. The restaurants are very good as well. Be prepared for hills, though, unless your accommodation is on the main street. My daughter and I had really good walks there. There were all sorts of ages visiting.Guest review byClaudineMalta - 10.0
Craignure is beautiful even in poorer weather.
Craignure is beautiful even in poorer weather. If planning to eat out of an evening this would be best booked in advance as there was only one pub serving food near the ferry terminal and they stopped serving at 8pm.Guest review byShaunaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Port Ellen is perfect for whisky lovers.
Port Ellen is perfect for whisky lovers. There are many great distilleries in walking distance (Port Ellen, Ardbeg, Lagavulin, Laphroaig and soon another one) and many more by bus or taxi (but taxis are sometimes hard to get and there is no Uber available).Guest review bySilvioSwitzerland - 10.0

Dunvegan was quite central to travelling across Skye for our various planned activities - whisky tour, puffin tour, walking Quiraing, Fairy Pools and Old Man of Storr. The two shops had enough for the grocery essentials and there were several cafes and restaurants to provide choice. The castle was interesting though a bit pricey.Guest review bySuzieAustralia - 4.0

It was a beautiful island, but without activities, you might as well make a day trip and spend the money on better accommodation in the area, where you also have the option to choose from more restaurants.Guest review byEmanuelSweden - 10.0

Sconser is quite small but it is central to most of Skye and the Raasay ferry is on your doorstep (lovely walking at the north of the island and up Dun Can, lots of eagles, Brochel Castle, a distillery). The village is set back on a road parallel to the main road and houses look forward to the sea and Raasay and backwards to the mountain Glamaig (great views both ways). The Sconser Lodge Hotel has a cosy bar with open fireplace. Their restaurant is open to non-residents when they can cope with numbers so nip in and chat about available dates well in advance.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 6.0

We stayed at the caravan purely to facilitate an early morning ferry to Harris. We had fish and chips from the local takeaway which were very overpriced for what they were. They’re clearly taking advantage!Guest review byGrahamUnited Kingdom
