Overall, a wonderful stay at The Raven's Cliff lodge! My family stayed here for a week in two rooms which were quiet, comfortable and affordable. The restaurant was particularly terrific...the food was very tasty and filling! We ate many breakfasts and dinners here, the omelets were superb! Enjoyed getting to know the restaurant staff, and John in the mornings was especially friendly and hospitable! Highly recommend staying here to all who travel with families!

Everything! We were able to extend our stay to 4 nights and were given a discount by the manager. The manager was able to let us remain in the same suite by changing others booking around. He was most accommodating. As requested, we were allotted a suite over looking the Clyde - though this was almost dry, due to recent draught weather; but we won't hold that against them!

Wow – what a stay! It was perfect from start to finish. The setting itself is absolutely stunning – the kind of place where you just stop for a second and take it all in. It feels both peaceful and special, like you’ve stepped into a little hidden gem. What really made it for us though was the staff. Every single person we met was so welcoming, helpful and genuinely kind. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble – they really went out of their way to make us comfortable, and that kind of warmth makes all the difference. As a couple, it was everything we could have hoped for: relaxing, romantic, and completely stress-free. We honestly couldn’t think of a single thing that would have made our stay better. Crossbasket ticked every box – we left already planning our next visit. Highly, highly recommend. Location is 10/10, we were close to Glasgow, Edinburgh, visited Ayr, Culzean Castle, some of the highlands and more - everything within an hour with car.

The hotel is just off the motorway and is clean, comfortable and good value for money. The car park is the general parking for the Abington services and perhaps a separate area would be good. Having said that, it is a well lit area and in use throughout the night by people using the services.

Easy check-in. Clean room. Comfy bed. Decent breakfast. I will think twice about taking my family here though...especially at weekends. there was a party playing very loud music until 4am. Quite disrespectful. Don't mind it going on until 1am but, most of the night?

Scenic, leafy roads, picturesque town, and beautiful UNESCO heritage hotel site. Slightly complicated one way system to get through town to hotel site, fortunately we had google streetviewed in advance! Way out is however much more straightforward. New Lanark Mill museum site well thought out and presented. Hands on opportunities for kids including dress up - think it would be engaging for families. New Lanark Mill One hotel offered an excellent stay. Very restful location with sound of River Clyde gushing along in background along the leafy valley!
