More than wonderful hotel, we loved everything about it. Great facilities, super complete and comfy room (the bed was amazing and they offered nespresso and good tea, which we love), great location, and the staff was so lovely and ready to help. Can’t recommend it enough.

Matt was the most welcoming and helpful host. The Ocean Mist was so unique to stay in and was extremely well maintained. We enjoyed settling in with a drink on the upper deck. The night host Danny couldn't do enough to ensure we had an extremely early breakfast before our flight. Highly recommended.

Room was nicely upgraded, very clean, & the TV coming out of the end of the bed was a nice touch. Great little bar attached, we noticed that all the tables were reserved so must be good food. We were meeting friends elsewhere.

truly enjoyed my stay at The Scott. The property is beautifully designed in an elegant Scottish style that makes you feel like you’re staying in a small castle — a perfect blend of charm and understated luxury. The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive, always ready to help with any questions or requests. Although the room was not very large, it was thoughtfully furnished, cozy, and had everything we needed. I particularly appreciated the small touches — like the daily treats, cookies, and coffee provided in the room. These little details made the whole experience feel extra special and warm. I would also like to highlight the breakfast — the atmosphere was simply wonderful. The dining room was stunning, the service excellent, and the food both delicious and beautifully presented. There was a nice selection to choose from, and it truly felt like a luxurious start to the day — the perfect way to begin exploring Edinburgh.

This city has everything from quality restaurants and loads of brilliant bars. Lots to do with ghost tours on the Royal Mile and whisky experience like the fantastic Jonnie Walkers.Highly recommended Dusit Restaurant if you like Thai food and Chooka for a different style of Indian cuisine. The West End is full of superb bars and restaurants so choosing is difficult. For a true authentic Scottish bar try Dirty Dicks on Rose Street.

Livingston is a quaint, calm neighbourhood.

Livingston is a quaint, calm neighbourhood. Although not easy to access an Uber, there are bus stops if you walk a few minutes, and Livingston North train station is of course a stop for the different rail services. We walked for about 15-20 mins to get to a station. Save the number of taxi operators ahead of your trip, if you're travelling with lots of luggage and want convenient drop offs and pick ups from/to your space in Livingston.

An absolute delight to visit, lots to see and do.

An absolute delight to visit, lots to see and do. We will be returning and probably staying in Dunbar itself, as we were staying about 10 minutes out of town at a holiday site. Very nice, but would have preferred to not have to drive so much. Belhaven Beach is really lovely, with the Bridge To Nowhere, and we went to East Beach and walked round the castle. Just brilliant. Such a lovely friendly town, be sure to visit the John Muir Museum. We had a day in Edinburgh, but should have stayed longer to see more of it all.

Lovely weather, so walked round the loch (lake) to Linlithgow Peel (Park). Visited the Palace, - birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots, Church & Museum, wonderful. Sampled great coffees, homemade lunches & baking in the several small independent cafes. Took train to Edinburgh and Glasgow, and car to Stirling. So easy and practical.

Excellent breakfast, tables to small for comfort. Seats uncomfortable. Double room has only one chair! Hotel is dated and tired. It is ideally situated for beach walks.
