We had a lovely room 108 with the stairs coming down to the bathroom, very unique and fun! The room was nice and clean, very warm! There was tea and coffee in the room, and the breakfast was amazing! Not just a generic buffet but a proper breakfast! Coming from a different country I was stoked to have experienced some traditional food for breakfast at the hotel. Everyone was very nice to us, and I loved that the house has a history to it. WiFi was good and fast 😀 I was looking forward to having a bath, and if you're like me, please note that not all rooms have them, and booking doesn't recognise it. Luckily, we got help immediately 😁

We enjoyed our stay at this location. Friendly staff, lovely swimming pool, and we had lots of opportunities to explore other cities in North Wales. We loved that the location was 6 minutes by car to the seaside, loved the market hall, and all the little shops. We enjoyed staying and playing board games in the caravan when the weather was not good. Lovely walks in the nature reserve and lots of sunsets. We would definetly come back. Thank you

After finishing a hike on the 177-mile Offa’s Dyke, this hotel made the perfect reward. Our warm and cozy room had a great view of the ocean as the sun set. Best of all, the shower pressure was the best I’ve ever seen in the UK. Well appreciated! The staff in the hotel and the restaurant were especially nice. We’d happily return here again.

Poor experience

Poor experience On 15th November we checked into room G4 at 1515 hours after dropping our belongings in the room we proceed to go into town and met family for my partners birthday. We returned to the hotel at about 2100 hrs. We then proceed to get into bed that's when we noticed the damage mattress. The reception wasnt manned so could only inform your staff at 830am on 16th November. We only used the shower facilities and TV in the room and the bed that was broken thus having no sleep, we used the continental breakfast facilities. At 430pm on 16th November we were moved into room 204, we moved our belongings and then went out for tea returning at 2130hrs, on getting into bed we noticed the damaged and stained mattress, the cold wind coming through the window and the light coming through the door once again the reception was unmanned so couldn't report it. We never used any other room facilities apart from the TV and checked out at 8am, leaving keys in basket on reception desk. I hope this clarifies the situation for 2 nights we hardly used or had use of facilities due to the poor quality and issues with bed mattresses, Shower etc. Room G4 Mattress was so poor it had a large dip/slope in the middle on left side We had no sleep all night Room 204 Matress had same issue as G4 and was stained badly near top of mattress, windows let in cold air all night, Fire door wasnt fitted properly allowing light in all night, wallpaper coming away from wall, Shower rusty and screen dirty toilet seat moving, toilet door handle broken, sink missing plug We have been asking for a percentage refund and eere offered £26.00 for 2 nights accommodation that was appalling, they do not reply to your emails effectively. Waiting response.

Beautiful historical walled town, with everything in a condensed area, in walkable distance. Still uncommercialised and quite untouched, which makes it exceptional. Transport to other areas by train is in walking distance, hop on, hop off bus comes from Llandudno, and is a great way to see a bit more. Great places to eat drink and visit - Liverpool Arms, Albion Arms - 2 great pubs, The Mulberry and Alfredos are great for food, Fishermans Chip Shot for a takeaway. Plas Mwa, Castle, and Castle Walls were great places to visit. We will definitively be back. We ❤️ Conwy

Betws is a great hub for exploring the Eryri National park. All the popular walking areas are not far away - and served by a bus service. Plenty of guest houses, outdoor shops, coffee shops/ cafes, and gift shops. All within walking distance. Prices to suit all budgets. Worth a look if you are planning an adventure in Eryri!

We saw the outside stadium (had no time for a tour of that facility), bought some Wrexham football club souvenirs downtown at a bigger store than is in the stadium, and enjoyed a pint and lively conversation in The Turf pub. Met a fellow who took us downtown and did an impromptu tour of Wrexham! He was knowledgeable and good fun! Getting around is easy via walking.

Barmouth; if you don't know is surrounded by beautiful mountainous countryside, has a large expanse of sandy beach along a very accessible promenade. Good road or rail links. Personally I prefer decent main roads to the unpredictability of Motorways though roadworks seem to appear anywhere these days, so it can take a little longer, but the views make up for it for me. Plenty of places to eat and drink,

You can never have too long in Llanberis area!

You can never have too long in Llanberis area! The mountains & lakes are stunning, and there is so much else to explore too. Snowdonia has a magical quality to it that makes it so special. Llanberis is also a great base from which to explore outlying places e.g. during my trip, as well as completing my main goals of climbing Snowdon and Tryfan, I took daytrips from Llanberis to Caernarfon and Anglesey on one day and Llandudno & Conwy on the other, visiting castles, National Trust properties and beaches on teh way. The various driving routes to and from these places back to Llanberis were a joy in themselves. The nearby Pen-y-Gwryd hotel is so interesting, steeped in mountaineering / Everest history - although it was lovely to have the place almost to myself to look around, it is a shame it is not promoted a bit more as a place to visit for a cup of tea / place to stay.
