I had a wonderful stay! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. My room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. Not to mention the exceptional restaurant (listed in the Michelin Guide, which speaks for itself) and the beautiful Sunday roast I enjoyed. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Derbyshire!

The rooms are beautifully decorated with character and unique style. It felt like an absolute treat staying here as soon as I arrived. Cosy and chic. The restaurant downstairs has exceptional food and the staff were all incredibly helpful. I had messaged beforehand to see if on the off chance there might be hair straighteners available to which I got a very prompt response from Laura who offered to lend me her daughters. They were in the room ready when I arrived. These personal touches really go a long way and it’s very rare to find. I’ve been an international flight attendant for 10 years and haven’t found somewhere with such good service before. Thank you to everyone at Bohotel!

The breakfast was great, food, staff and dining room was extremely pleasant. I’d been wanting to stay at Shrigley for years and my stay exceeded my expectations. The room with the view overlooking the front was amazing and I particularly enjoyed and appreciated the original features and history of the building it has a real Downton Abbey feel to it. The location was perfect for attending The Sheffield Arena...

The location was perfect for attending The Sheffield Arena for a concert, other than the location the facilities were awful, a toilet in a small cupboard, the sink in the actual room, alongside the shower in the room with a glass door and a big round hole in the glass door for any other occupants in the room able to view you in the shower, therefore we felt too uncomfortable to use the shower. The beds moved as not attached to the headboard and were on legs like a camp bed, a very small tv in the corner of the room, budget ibis facilities is an understatement, we left early next morning to escape the unfortunate facilities and to shower back at home in private Payment for parking is also an insult as room prices way overpriced let alone parking fee on top !!

Buxton is wonderful.

Buxton is wonderful. Quirky, iconic, a complete niche of a place in terms of locality and climate. Always pack a warm jumper. People are wonderful and friendly and there's a lot packed into a small space, amazing buildings, great park, within fantastic hills and walks. Lots of different places to eat. Would definitely recommend.

A trip into town is a must.

A trip into town is a must. We went on a Sunday so not all artisan shops were open in the town centre but some of the larger chain shops were and there was an amazing street food festival on so the place was buzzing. We parked at the retail park on the duel carriageway where all the large stores were open like Curry's, Next, Poundland, etc and then we walked across the road into town. Plenty of cafes open too.

The town is very laid back, relaxed and full of friendly people. there are many events throughout the year, street markets, farmers markets, and the town looks fantastic when decorated for Christmas! It's also full of history and prides itself on maintaining it's buildings with the architectural charms of long ago. No one can be disappointed with the views that the bridges and riverside walks provide, these also provide great meeting and relaxing places that the public embrace regularly. Come and visit, you won't be disappointed!

To be fair it isn't in Stockport.

To be fair it isn't in Stockport. It in a beautiful rural location with fabulous views of green countryside with a charming vista of Manchester in the distance. Yes it was! In my view ! Lol. For us it was a little out of the way mainly because I'm increasingly stressed by driving but in normal circumstances it's nice and quiet. We ate in Glossop at Napolis which was fab last time we went but this time it wasn't great! Had a great ready meal from sainsbury in New Mills! Lots of good walks and paths. Binge Watched Riot women on the big screen! We don't have a TV.

Castleton is lovely at anytime of year to visit but especially magical at Christmas when they turn the lights on in mid November and the village is so picturesque well worth a visit so much to see and can easily reach so many other places from there too even if you don't drive has a regular bus service which serves other villages too.You would never be short of getting a place to stay either as there are plenty of pubs for bed and breakfast even cosy cottages to rent too.

Lovely spot is Holmfirth. Great selection of arts & crafts, good food, great pubs, and one of the best music venues there is! The Picturedrome. Also worth a visit is the "Last of The Summer Wine Exhibition" and "Compo's house tour". Top eateries include Ten Fourteen, The Tap House Bar & Bistro, Lou & Joes Burger Company, Harvey's Bar & Kitchen, to name a few not forgetting some fantastic coffee shops too like the Cheese Shop Deli & Bistro, Ribbles, the Archive and Grahams all serving grew brews, hot food and CAKES!
