Amamzing hospitality provided by the staff. The two receptionists were caring, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. I sprained my ankle hiking the Richtis gorge and they quickly arrnged a taxi for me to take to me the local hospital. The place is nice with a personal touch that makes you feel like home.

Well this has been about the third time we have stayed at the Angelos hotel and it never fails to get 100% rating. The room was basic, but met our needs including a wonderful view of the bay. The hotel is quirky to get into but does have a lift, which you access through a shop.The owner, Eleftheria also works in the shop, next door and is marvellous.The rooms are cleaned each day and because I celebrated my 76th birthday, at the hotel I was presented with a birthday card. Sort of.But nevertheless the hotel is a oasis in a resort of much more expensive, luxury accommodations, and long may it remain so for the foreseeable future...

The hotel was refurbished and it had everything renovated: from the locker of the room to the glass fence on the balcony. Looks to be a family business as we were welcomed by a very nice young family. They were very kind to us and our son as they anticipate our needs. They showed us how to better use the amenities and what to explore in the area. As the hotel was not full, they did us an upgrade of the room: same space but a refurbished one. The location is perfect, very close to the center and the seaside. There is private parking on the street that you can access using a pin code.

Truly great pleace! I wanted to stay at this hotel so bad, I didnt mind booking one room for 5 days and the other one for 4. That other room is Suit with jakuzzi on 4th floor and WORTH EVERY PENNY! That view is everything. My advice, book half board, meals are great, so many dishes on the menu. Next great thing about this place, staff. Both, restaurant and the reception, cleaning staff also. Such a lovely charming people, really made us feel welcomed. I never remember names, but girl at the reception, so wonderful, as if love and joy would be a person, with such a sincere smile that can make your day.

Really great view over the lake - I had a room on the third floor and loved to sit on my balcony in the evening sun. The room has everything it needs, including a kettle and some nescafe/tea. Big, comfortable double bed. The staff were very kind. Lots of restaurants and shops around, you are in the middle of everything. About 10 mins to walk to the central bus station to get a bus to/from Heraklion.
