Wow! We stumbled upon this place completely by chance. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by everything it had to offer—from the uniquely designed units to the luxurious private pool. Every facility in the room contributed to the most enjoyable and comfortable experience we could have asked for—from the shower, to the bathtub, and the bed. The location was also excellent, close to everything we were looking for in the Old City. What truly stood out was the level of service—professionalism, patience, and outstanding interpersonal care. They prepared a thoughtful and generous breakfast for our trip to the airport, and even treated us to a bottle of wine in the evening. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this place and would definitely love to return!

Staying at the Manor Chic Hotel in Rethymno was such a wonderful experience. The hotel combines the charm of a traditional setting with chic and luxurious details, creating a perfect blend of heritage and modern comfort. Its location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of the old town—so we could easily wander through the beautiful streets of Rethymno, discovering amazing restaurants, hidden corners, and experiencing the city like locals. The staff were exceptionally warm, friendly, and helpful. A special mention to their kindness in helping me recover some clothes I had accidentally left behind—they went above and beyond to make sure I got them back. I would highly recommend Manor Chic Hotel to anyone visiting Crete. It’s the ideal place to enjoy the beauty of Rethymno while feeling like a local.

TL/DR: the staff was the friendliest I have ever seen. Everything was sparkling clean. The food was great. The all inclusive package is a must have Now a more detailed review: We made a huge mistake by NOT getting the all inclusive pack, and had to go out every day for lunch or dinner. There's a few restaurants within a 15/20 minutes walk, but under a scorching sun that was not worth it. The paid/specialties restaurants in the hotel are too fancy, too expensive and often had to be reserved in advance, so that was not an option. The only one we went to was the one by the beach. The staff was always friendly. Even under a 40/110 degree heat everybody was happy to be there. That made an experience much more agreeable in the entire hotel. At night there would be entertainment in two places. Usually a more cruise ship like dancing or a band playing. And by the pool there would be a more laid back band playing. The whole place felt vibrant and has a 100% family vibe to It. Lots of kids playing in all places. The hotel has a convenience store with basically everything you need. It runs from 8 to 10 every day, and the staff was also super friendly. We would gladly be back, but now with the all inclusive package.

Everything was very pleasant and tranquil, the food was delicious and the staff was incredibly helpful and also knowledgeable about the area. We very much enjoyed the pool area, the movie night and also the live music. Having a gym on site is an added bonus for those who want to do some training. Something that is amazing about this place is its history and the olive mill museum. Something that makes it stand out in our opinion is the attention to detail in every sense! Wherever you look! The architect behind this project did and is still doing an amazing job! In conclusion, a great experience which we will definitely repeat and recommend to others!

The hotel had everything, nice view, many sunbeds, varmpool cold pool and beach at the door. Staff was amazing and very good hygiene. The rooms had new renovation and was beautiful. The food was also amazing with a lot of verity but the best thing was the pizza at evening, big ups to him for best pizza I eat. Even the animation team was very good for organizing activities they had a lot of creativity and both good and strong personalities that makes the days even better to have fun with them. The reception were very helpful with everything. Also the drinks was amazing. 10 out of 10 everything, see you next year. /Agron

The hotel is beautiful. It really does take you to your own little paradise. Everything is easy to find and there’s plenty of great facilities. The hotel rooms were a great size and had everything you needed including a free minibar. Towels for the pool were available, the sunbeds were beautiful overlooking the pools (there are three beautiful pools!). The restaurant serves amazing food and the staff were so amazing and friendly

The best stay in Crete. We were in four different hotels while in Crete and Duo Suites was the best. The service was excellent. Chrysa was especially attentive and friendly. Everyone in this hotel made us feel as VIP guests. The food was delicious and cocktails were spectacular. Room service was timely and the best. Thank you and we will see you again.

The service level was very high. We found everything which was needed for us and more. We had a lot of options for more kind of restaurant and the 'main' restaurant was fantastic. The 'a la card' restaurant was exclusive and our children were very happy for the parties near koktail bar at nights. I think it was 10.

We were sadly only here for a quick overnight stay.

We were sadly only here for a quick overnight stay. But during our week in Crete - where we travelled to Chania, Heraklion, and Rethymno - Rethymno was by some margin my favourite destination. Where Chania's historic centre felt as if it had been totally given over to tourism, Rethymno felt more like a substantial town with plenty to explore.

A small vibrant fishing village which offers plenty of restaurants and accommodations. The beach is clean but a little small. Water is clean with access via a short walk from the village centre. It is quite hilly and may present problems for certain visitors. Evenings are very lively with many restaurants and some shops. It is centrally placed for journeys to others beaches and destinations such as Matala, Spili and so on.

The town is just the right size — not too big.

The town is just the right size — not too big. Its rural and local character really comes through; we even watched goat herders at work just nearby. There’s a good variety of restaurants and several shops. For those with limited mobility, there’s a convenient flat sidewalk running along the beach. If you’re willing to drive a short distance, there are plenty of stunning beaches to choose from depending on the wind direction. It’s an excellent location for beach life and all kinds of water activities. At Paralia Souda, there was also an aid for wheelchair users to get into the water — provided they’re able to transfer into the seat. There’s also lots to do nearby — one tip is to hike up to Saint Paisios Church or visit the nearby mountain villages with their amazing views towards Plakias (see the photo).

Spílion is a beautiful little town full of charm and character. The stone architecture, natural springs, and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy authentic Crete. The local people were friendly, the food was delicious, and the views of the surrounding mountains were stunning. A lovely stop if you're exploring the island!

A small (very) village in the mountains marketing themselves as "eco-tourism " by incorporating their history and agriculture to the modern world. Local crafts, Cretan honey, olive oil and cheese, Sfentoni cave and Wood museum by a local sculptor was icing on the cake.

Beautiful olive groves. In October you can watch the olives being picked. Lots of nice and wild beaches. If you want to leave your clothes dry, you can even go swimming naked in some. Diving is also nearby. Classic beach 7 minutes by car. You can also rent a boat there. 2 km away, the man has built a lovely little church on the hill.

Prines is a lovely, quiet little village only a 10 minute...

Prines is a lovely, quiet little village only a 10 minute drive away from the busy city of Rethymno. If you want peace and quiet, Prines delivers. There is a small shop/mini-market, a pharmacy, and a couple of fantastic tavernas. There's nothing else to say other than it's very traditional and quiet and it's only a 2 minute drive away from Atsipopoulo, which is a slightly larger village with more bars and tavernas.

There is no better city!!!

There is no better city!!! It has absolutely everything you could want. From relaxation to partying. The people are incredibly nice, and the food is the best at Maria's home cooking on Papandreou St. 31.

Agia Galini is a cute little town in the south of Crete,...

Agia Galini is a cute little town in the south of Crete, which is always more pleasant than the norih with it's overflowing tourists, traffic jams and windy weather in September. And there are plenty of things to explore: nice beaches, good hiking, old monasteries, remains of ancient towns - lots of history ... but the most enjoyable are the good Greek food, very kind people, peace and wonderful sunsets.
