“Perfect Stopover Hotel on Our Journey from Budapest to Dubrovnik” We chose this hotel as a stopover during our road trip from Budapest to Dubrovnik, and it exceeded our expectations! Although this area isn’t typically known for high-quality accommodations, I can confidently recommend this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the overall experience was fantastic.     What a wonderful place to visit.

    What a wonderful place to visit. Strongly recommend a knowledgeable professional historian guide. Split is a very unique city with a very unique history. They physical layout and structure of the city is so interesting and you can see and experience the history of how it developed over time. We visited in October so it was cool but sunny. Cruise ship crowds every day but evenings were less crowded. We stayed 4 days and did a lot of walking in & outside of Old Town. Could have done the city in 2 days maybe 3 max.

    Dubrovnik, even in shoulder season, felt too touristy.

    Dubrovnik, even in shoulder season, felt too touristy. There was no opportunity for individual interaction with local people except for those in the tourism industry. Although all people we interacted with in various tourist establishment were professional, it felt very transactional. Apart from the Old Town and a couple of islands locally, there was not much to do - you can get it all over in two days! Plus travel to Dubrovnik from Zadar was painful - 9.5 hours by bus with 37 stops! It appears that FlixBus in Dalmatia is unlike in other areas - it is more like a local bus service (although we did get fantastic views of the coastline), the bus actually had standing passengers an some prebooked customers had to stand!

    Great city. perfect old town and most importantly the promenade was simply beautiful. Just the right level of tourists - did not feel overwhelmingly crowded. Brilliant sunsets. Well connected for local sights such as Plitvice National Park, Kornati National Park, Nin town (not to be missed).

    Trogir is a small town which can be seen very quickly.

    Trogir is a small town which can be seen very quickly. Its ancient and narrow streets are filled with cafes and shops. Very charming and fun to visit. Cobblestone streets and is very lively at night. Huge yachts are docked along the main Riva.

    This was the perfect Adriatic vacation.

    This was the perfect Adriatic vacation. Best mix of historical sites, sea-side exursions, excellent restaurants, and time to relax as well. Be prepared to walk a lot and have proper footware for walking on the rocky beaches.

    Highly recommend this for a stay of a few days. Great place to relax after a very busy 2 week tour of Slovenia and Croatia. Very walkable, lots of good restaurants. Enjoyed a very affordable sunset cruise.

    Makarska is a perfect size for exploring on foot. It has a beautiful old town and is supplied with some great eating places. I would recommend Gastro Diva for a local eating experience. The beaches are good and there are some lovely walks around the peninsula.

    Sibenik old town was worth the trip.

    Sibenik old town was worth the trip. The old medieval buildings and narrow streets which look like polished from centuries walking over it. Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants invite you to come in and have a rest.

    Lovely and very interesting island with amazing beaches...

    Lovely and very interesting island with amazing beaches nearby, great biking opportunities, historic places to visit, wonderful restaurants, friendly people and amazing sites around every bend. We stayed in the old town, in a building built around 1400, and explored from there. The old town was so fun and small enough that you could walk everywhere, including to the ferry stations, so the only time we used a car was when we took a day to drive to several beaches around the island, each one amazing.

    We used Mlini for a night before flying out of Dubrovnik...

    We used Mlini for a night before flying out of Dubrovnik Airport. We started our Croatia holiday in Split, then did a Bike and Boat through the islands, ending up in Dubrovnik. Seeing how far Dubrovnik is from the airport, I sought closer accommodations, and it was a quick 10 minutes in the early morning when our driver picked us up at 5:40 a.m. After being there, for one day, I wish I could have spent several days there just relaxing!
